Wee Meng Chee, also known as Namewee, was born in 1983 in Mapo, Johor, Malaysia. He graduated from Mapo Sinochem middle school. His ancestral home is Hainan. In 2008, he graduated from the Department of public broadcasting, Ming Chuan University, Taiwan. During his study, he organized an orchestra with his friends. In order to facilitate communication with his friends, he began to share his works on YouTube on September 28, 2006. Adaptation of the National Anthem

"Negarakuku I love my country" caused a great disturbance in Malaysia. "My motherland" was adapted into a music video by Huang Mingzhi, a Malaysian student studying in Taiwan in July 2007, and the song was sung in rap mode.
