Main achievements
Achievements in scientific research
Academician Zhang Xi is the leader of polymer chemistry and physics in Tsinghua University. He is committed to combining polymer chemistry with supramolecular chemistry to develop molecular engineering of functional supramolecular systems, and has made some influential achievements in academic circles at home and abroad
A new concept of super amphiphilic molecule was proposed,
A new bridge has been established between supramolecular chemistry and colloidal interface chemistry, by which controllable molecular self-assembly and self-assembly can be realized, providing a new way for the preparation of new functional supramolecular materials and devices; a new method of supramolecular polymerization based on host enhanced non covalent interaction has been established, which can be used to assemble linear, branched and hyperbranched supramolecular polymers in aqueous solution; and Several new controllable supramolecular polymerization methods, such as self classification driven supramolecular polymerization, covalent polymerization of supramolecular monomers and supramolecular interfacial polymerization, have been established, which can be used to prepare biodegradable and self-healing materials, and promote the development of supramolecular polymer field. A new concept of supramolecular free radical, that is, the free radical stabilized or activated by supramolecular method, can be used to prepare biodegradable and self-healing materials To prepare functional supramolecular materials, and provide a new way for supramolecular catalysis; to prepare a series of amphiphilic block polymers containing selenium, which have the characteristics of sensitive oxidation, reduction and radiation response, and provide a new class of biomedical materials; to establish and develop interfacial molecular assembly methods based on the interaction between different molecules, and to prepare organic thin film materials and functional surfaces Based on single molecule force spectroscopy, the intramolecular and intermolecular interactions of supramolecular system are studied, which provides experimental basis for understanding molecular structure, supramolecular structure and assembly driving force from single molecule level. More than 350 papers have been published in academic journals at home and abroad. He has made more than 200 invited reports and conference reports at international academic conferences. He has won He Liang He Li science and technology progress award, China Chemical Society Aksu Nobel Prize in chemistry, China Youth Science and technology award, China Chemical Society BASF youth knowledge innovation award, National Natural Science Second Prize (ranked second), Beijing Mao Yisheng Youth Science and technology award, national advanced individual of teacher ethics, Hong Kong Qiushi science and technology foundation "outstanding young scholars Award", national outstanding young scholars award The foundation, Baosteel teaching foundation "outstanding teacher award", Royal Chemical Society Fellow, American Chemical Society Fellow and other awards and honors.
