Liu Chunhong
Liu Chunhong, born in Yantai, Shandong Province, China on January 29, 1985, is a former member of the Chinese women's weightlifting team.
In 2002, he was selected into the national team. On October 6, 2002, Busan Asian Games won the championship with a total score of 262.5kg. On October 22, 2003, Liu Chunhong won the gold medal with a total score of 257.5kg in the Fifth National City Games. In 2004, Liu Chunhong won the women's 69kg weightlifting championship in Athens Olympic Games with a total score of 275kg. In 2008, Liu Chunhong won the women's 69kg class in the weightlifting competition of Beijing Olympic Games with the advantage of 128 kg snatch, 158 kg clean and jerk and 286 kg total score. On July 10, 2012, Liu Chunhong was unable to participate in the London Olympic Games. Liu Chunhong, 30, has decided to retire. In the second half of 2012, Liu Chunhong decided to go to the United States for further study. After returning home, she served as the deputy director of juwrestle center of Shandong Sports Bureau.
On January 13, 2017, due to the re examination found that GHRP-2 and sibutramine were positive, the International Olympic Committee officially announced that it was deprived of the gold medal qualification of the 69kg weightlifting in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
In August 2017, the court of arbitration for sports (CAS) rejected the appeals of Liu Chunhong and Cao Lei, who had been cancelled by the International Olympic Committee because their urine samples were positive in the re examination.
Early experience
Liu Chunhong, 11, was selected by judo coach Guo Bingxun. After a simple test, she decided to send Liu to Zhaoyuan sports school. In the initial judo training, with hard training, Liu Chunhong emerged. In 1995, Liu Chunhong was admitted to Yantai sports school. The family was poor, so my brother took the initiative to drop out of school and went out to work for Liu Chunhong to go to school. Liu Chunhong is a "talented woman" of the national team. She likes to draw cartoons and embroider cross stitch. Her cooking skills are also better. After Liu Chunhong settled down in Jinan in 2013, she lived in the house assigned to her by the Sports Bureau. Her room is quite characteristic.
