Li Guanglu
Li Guanglu, born in Zhongzhou in 1959, is a Sheng player and educator.
In 1975, he was admitted to the high school attached to the Central Conservatory of music, where he studied Sheng performance under Zhao Chunfeng and Zhang Zhiliang. In 1979, he was admitted to China Conservatory of music and continued to study with Zhang Zhiliang. He graduated in 1983 and has been teaching since then.
At present, he is the tutor of master's and doctoral students in the Department of national music of China Conservatory of music.
Personal profile
Li Guanglu, who is commonly known as Li Guangliu, was born in 1959 in a musical family in Zhongzhou. Since he was 10 years old, he has been associated with music, from learning Sheng, suona, flute and other wind music.
His rigorous, rigorous, strict and serious style in performance, teaching and creation, his aesthetic pursuit of seeking depth, novelty, refinement and beauty, and his unremitting efforts and outstanding contributions to promoting Chinese music culture, especially Sheng's performance, have been praised as "Li Guanglu phenomenon" in the industry.
In 1995, he won the gold award of Sheng professional group in China International Folk Music Solo competition; in 1996, he won the best performance award in Korea international wind art competition; he won the excellent gardener award of China Music Culture Award of Ministry of culture; he was the expert judge of China Music Golden Bell Award and CCTV national instrumental music competition; he has been reported on the cover of media both inside and outside the industry for many times. Students have won golden prizes in Golden Bell Award, Culture Award and CCTV competition for many times, and have been praised as the Grand Slam king in the industry.
Personal achievement
He not only controlled a series of traditional Sheng and reformed Sheng with key addition, but also developed and reformed 24 spring F-key high pitched Sheng, 27 spring D-key amplified Sheng, 36 spring middle pitched Sheng and low pitched Sheng, which improved the supporting system of round Sheng teaching and performance in China Conservatory of music and filled the blank of round medium and low pitched Sheng without solo on the stage of music.
He has compiled and published "a collection of famous Chinese Sheng performers"; edited "the art of Chinese Sheng"; wrote "the origin and evolution of Sheng and Lusheng", "the method of using Qi of Sheng", "the school of Chinese Sheng", "pluralistic and standard art education" and other art papers; created and adapted a large number of Chinese and foreign music, solo and Concerto Music, making the works more Sheng characteristics and personality, such as《 Fantasia of the White Snake, etc.
He has recorded hundreds of music, and more than ten kinds of CDs and cassette albums have been recorded and released for him by domestic and foreign publishers. All kinds of news media report and interview him frequently in the column program. "People's Daily" and "Beijing Evening News" respectively introduced their outstanding achievements and their main contributions in music career with the theme of "seeing the spirit between rigid and soft" and "blowing up a new world".

He is the president of China Sheng society, vice chairman of National Music Committee of China International Hanlin literature and Artists Federation, chairman of Sheng professional committee, overseas senior consultant of Heilongjiang and Singapore Sheng associations, artistic director of China Heming Sheng Orchestra, executive director of China National Orchestra Society, visiting professor of Renmin University of China, China Academy of traditional Chinese opera and Central University for nationalities.
