Jin Wei, born in Zhuji, Zhejiang Province, is a calligrapher, painter and Guqin player. He has successively learned from Xu Xiaoying, Gong Yi and Wu Wenguang.
Jin Wei, for the purpose of inheriting and developing authentic Chinese music, pays attention to the aesthetic education of traditional Chinese culture while teaching piano art. In terms of performance, in addition to the representative repertoire of different genres, the score making repertoire includes Yushulinfeng, Lisao, Guben jiukuang, etc., and the creative repertoire includes jiangjinjiu, Dongdu, Yu Meiren, etc, It is believed that playing and singing is not only the oldest form of Guqin playing, but also a shortcut to the beginning of Guqin playing. It is also the best form to popularize Guqin without vulgarization of elegant music. It is easy to learn and listen. Ancient music and literature are closely combined, suitable for all ages.
Jin Wei, a native of Zhuji, Zhejiang Province, now lives in Beijing. He is a Guqin artist, calligrapher and painter, Deputy Secretary General of China Kunqu Opera Guqin Research Association, and honorary president of Chongqing Tianfeng Guqin Academy.
