Yun Lisi was a narrator of the Taiya version of the world tour cartoon on public television; native speaker and teacher of paddy field tribal University; graduated from the dubbing class of Aboriginal TV station; and is now a local teaching teacher in Taipei.

Yesterday, yunlisi received an exclusive interview with our newspaper and shared with us the story of her singing Taiya ancient tune. She said that the Taiya ancient tune is the oral transmission of history and ancient precepts by the Taiya people. For many years, only male elders in the tribe are qualified to sing. Ten years ago, yunlisi was attracted by the ancient tunes. It took her eight years to get the approval of the tribal elders and let her sing the ancient sayings as her daughter.

Yunlisi is a Taiya ethnic group in Jianshi Township, northwest Taiwan Province. Her experience is the same as that of most aboriginal families. "At that time, the elders felt that I wanted to preserve the culture of the Taya people and welcomed me. Later, they learned that I not only wanted to collect ancient tunes, but also wanted to sing them. On the one hand, they violated the taboo that only men can sing ancient tunes. On the other hand, they suspected that I intended to use my ancestors' wisdom to make money. So at the beginning, the elders were very resistant to my behavior. "

But she didn't give up at all. She tried to persuade them with her actions and persisted for eight years. Finally, two years ago, in a performance, after she finished singing the ancient tune of the ethnic group, an old man held Yun Lisi's hands tightly and kept thanking her, saying, "I haven't heard this song for a long time. It's a song that my father once sang to me."

Last year, with the help of Zhong Shifang, the founder of Dashu music, yunlisi finally released her debut album gaga. This is the first time that she has recorded this kind of voice and spread it more widely after nearly ten years of singing Taiya. Yunlisi said that the songs included in the album are all songs created by her after she added her own ideas to the Atayal tunes she collected over the years. "The lyrics are written by myself, but they are all about some ancient stories in the tribe. Taiya is a mountainous ethnic group in Northwest Taiwan.
