Sun Huang, born in September 1981 in Shanghai, is a Chinese Erhu player.
In 1988, he won the first prize in the 2nd "Dunhuang Cup" Shanghai Children's folk music competition. In 1989, he won the first prize in the folk music solo competition of Shanghai culture and Art Festival. In 1992, the album "little erhu player in Yinyuan" was broadcasted by Shanghai radio station. In 1995, he won the first prize of "Tianhua Cup" National Junior erhu competition. In 2000, he won the second "Longyin Award" of the Central Conservatory of music (the highest award). In 2002, he won the gold medal of Erhu youth professional group in the 1st national musical instrument solo competition of China Youth art competition. In 2009, he won the gold medal of Erhu youth group in the 2nd CCTV national instrumental music TV competition. In 2011, the erhu folk music album "Hu Ge" was released. In 2015, he held a solo concert at the 5th European "Long Lake Music Festival". In 2017, the erhu performance album "Ode to Chu" was released.
