experience
go abroad
In 1994, Lin Chaoyang went to France and then Italy, thinking that he went there to realize his dream of being a violinist. He laughed: "I went to Italy to be a painter there."
In Italy, Lin Chaoyang went to more than 80 galleries, of which about 10 are Chinese painting galleries. Some of his self satisfied works will stay there forever, because he was cheated of his paintings by several of them and didn't get any money.
"Later, I lived in an Italian's home, where they held concerts every week, where I met many people and my piano sound earned me a reputation. At that time, I also participated in a quartet and always went to Switzerland to perform. Whenever I'm running out of money, I call a theater manager I know. He always has operas on there, usually rehearsing for a week and performing for a week. He can earn a lot of money and live for several months. So as soon as I call, he knows what I want to do. The key is that he knows I play well.
Lin Chaoyang, who has been studying in Europe for eight years and has won many awards, is a recognized expert in the circle. However, when he talks about his past, he uses strange words to describe it.
As a child, he often went to his father's model opera "white haired girl" crew. Lin Chaoyang felt the charm of music, and because he was interested in woodworking things, he fell in love with the violin. So, when his father "carried" the 6-year-old from his grandmother's home to his own home, he gave him a violin. "My father asked me if I liked it, and said that I could give it to me, but only if I had to practice every day. At that time, I agreed without hesitation, but I began to regret it the next day. At that time, I got up at 5:30 or 6:00 every morning and began to practice until 7:15, then I ate, and then I ran to school. The fate of Lin Chaoyang and violin began like this. "Before the third grade of primary school, my study was very poor, often two to three ten, and I couldn't learn simple division well in a week. But after the third grade, my academic performance suddenly improved. When I graduated from primary school, I was admitted to a famous key middle school in Shanghai. But after only a few weeks, I dropped out because I wanted to be admitted to the attached middle school of Shanghai Conservatory of music. At that time, my teacher said that I would be a good science and engineering major and deeply regretted my dropping out. I worked hard at home for a year and was admitted to the high school attached to Shanghai Conservatory of music. There, Lin Chaoyang began to contact and like the Quartet, and thus really opened his own "music door.". At that time, as a student, Lin Chaoyang was sent to the UK to participate in the Portsmouth international Quartet Competition. At the age of less than 20, he and three minors aged 15 or 16 showed their talents in the most important international competition and won the fourth place in the violin Quartet. The purpose of the competition is actually to provide an opportunity for young people with artist potential. The players in the final are almost the same in terms of musical ability and potential. In 1988, Lin Chaoyang began his career of studying abroad in the former Soviet Union. In the past six years, he has not only achieved success in his career, but also become a painter.
Return home
In 1996, at the invitation of the Central Conservatory of music, Lin Chaoyang returned home. He thought that he also needed a larger space and that the school could provide a relatively stable environment. Therefore, growing up in Shanghai, he took root in Beijing. His extraordinary talent made him an associate professor one year after he returned to China. When it comes to education, his dedication to music itself is even more obvious. "Every parent wants to cultivate educated children, and art is the same. It is necessary to cultivate people with artistic interest and health, and make students really feel. Today's art teaching is not optimistic. We seldom develop essential things. Just like some children or amateurs, we will envy them for making good things, because they have no constraints of vocational education and can express themselves directly. In fact, the children who can enter the Conservatory of music, no doubt their technology has been affirmed, must be skilled players. To cultivate a child, we should first feed him, then teach him to cook and choose what is delicious. Just like in art, we should teach them how to look for food, develop their brains, tap their artistic talents, and create works for themselves, rather than the accumulation of pure art. I share my ideas with others, and I have gained a lot. Maybe one day I will not be engaged in music, but I am still very happy. When I am tired, I will be an appreciator, because I can experience the things in music. Your technology can't help others, but your opinions can be shared and shared with students. "
honor
In 1981, he entered the high school attached to Shanghai Conservatory of music. In 1986, he was the first violinist of string quartet of Shanghai Conservatory of music. In 1987, he won the first prize in the national String Quartet Competition. In 1988, he won the prize in Portsmouth international Quartet Competition. In the same year, after graduation, he was awarded a scholarship by the State Education Commission and went to the former Soviet Union's "Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory of music" to study under the guidance of Professor sikhmsayeva (a descendant of the great Soviet violin educator Yang Polski). In 1994, he got his master's degree with excellent results in violin, quartet and chamber music. Since then, he has won awards in many international competitions, such as "libitze International Violin Competition" in Italy and "janpolski International Violin Competition" in Russia, thus becoming the only violinist in China who has won awards in international competitions in both violin solo and Quartet fields. In 1996, he returned to China to teach at the invitation of the Central Conservatory of music. In 1997, he became the youngest associate professor of Violin and chamber music. In the same year, the Beijing Quartet of the Central Conservatory of music was established. In 1998, the student Chamber Orchestra of the Central Conservatory of music was established and conducted.
Music activities
Lin Chaoyang's music activities are diversified. In addition to continuing his solo career, he founded the "Beijing String Quartet" group in 1997 and performed frequently at home and abroad. The performance of the group was highly praised by the late famous music master Isaac Stern. Therefore, the performance of the "Beijing String Quartet" group was included in the sequel of the Oscar winning documentary "from Mao Zedong to Mozart". In 1999, the "Beijing String Quartet" group went to Switzerland to record Mozart's String Quartet album by radio Ticino. In the same year, Lin Chaoyang led the Beijing Symphony Orchestra to perform for the first time as a conductor, which was highly praised by his music peers. In the years after returning to China, Lin Chaoyang held more than 400 concerts for Chinese audiences, including Concerto series, chamber music series, popular concert series and campus series. He has worked with major Chinese orchestras and musicians.
