Gong Zhang is a Dan actor, whose ancestral home is Tianjin. Born in Liyuan family of Tianjin.
In 1988, he was admitted to the Beijing Opera Department of Tianjin art school at the age of 9.
In 1992, when she participated in a performance held by the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, Mr. Zhang Junqiu called her "a rare new art seedling", and immediately appointed her to participate in the "60th anniversary performance of Mr. Zhang Junqiu's stage life" held in Beijing the next year.
He graduated in 1995 and stayed in school for further study.
He was assigned to Tianjin Peking Opera Theater in December 1998.
In April 1999, he joined Shanghai Peking Opera Theater as the main actor. He has successively studied with Xue Yaping, Cai Yinglian, Wang Wanhua, Liang Guyin, Wang Zhiquan and other famous experts in Beijing and Kunming. He often plays in more than 40 Beijing Kunming plays, and plays the heroine in more than 10 new plays.
In 2010, as a talent introduction, he was transferred to Shanghai Academy of drama as a teacher of drama performance. He has been the director of drama since January 2011.
