Cai Zhizhong
Cai Zhizhong, male, born in 1948 in Changhua, Taiwan, is a famous cartoonist and honorary Dean of Jilin animation college.
At the age of 15, he began to become a professional cartoonist. At the end of 1971, he entered Guangqi society as an art designer and taught himself cartooning techniques. In 1976, he founded dragon cartoon company.
Cai Zhizhong has successively made long animated films such as laofuzi and wulongyuan. In 1983, he began to create four comic strips. There are more than 100 works, such as Zhuangzi Shuo, Laozi Shuo, Liezi Shuo, drunken man and bald detective, which have been published in more than 30 countries and regions in various languages, with a sales volume of more than 30 million copies.
In September 2013, the people's education press will launch the first set of "cartoon version" of Traditional Culture Curriculum textbooks for primary and secondary schools. A total of 260 stories from Cai Zhizhong's cartoons are selected and included in the textbooks. In 2015, Cai Zhizhong's animation Shanhaijing: Legend of the eye of heaven is scheduled to be released in October.
In 1981, Cai Zhizhong won the Golden Horse Award for best cartoon. In 1985, he was selected as one of the top ten outstanding young people in Taiwan. In 1999, he was awarded the prize by Prince Klaus foundation of the Netherlands for his "unprecedented re creation of traditional Chinese philosophy and literature through comics". In 2011, he won the "golden man Award" Lifetime Achievement Award.
On November 17, 2020, Cai Zhizhong "lost his hair" in Shaolin Temple, named "Yanyi".

From 1999 to 2008, Cai Zhizhong was closed for nine years to study the problem of "time" in physics. In an exclusive interview with a newspaper in early 2008, he claimed to have worked out the "time equation", but did not disclose the specific details. On the morning of October 27, 2013, Cui Yongyuan has confirmed to join Henan satellite TV as the guest of the program "idiom hero" together with the famous Taiwan cartoonist Cai Zhizhong and the famous cultural scholar Qian Wenzhong.
At the Hangzhou International Animation Festival at the end of April 2009, Cai Zhizhong, a cartoon master, came to Hangzhou for the first time in his life. On July 18th, he appeared in Hangzhou for the fourth time. This time, he was reluctant to leave this beautiful city.
On July 18, Taiwan comic master Cai Zhizhong decided to settle in the Zhijiang cultural and creative park in the West Lake District of Hangzhou. The loft Creative Park reconstructed from a cement plant has become Cai Zhizhong's first creative base in the mainland.

On November 17, 2020, Cai Zhizhong "lost his hair" in Shaolin Temple, named "Yanyi". The ceremony of shaving was held in the Sutra Pavilion of Shaolin Temple, and the abbot of Yongxin gave and received conversion.

In 2009, in cooperation with the Commercial Press, he published the latest works, such as the study diary without ears, the declaration of feline family, the Confucian thought of comics, the Taoist thought of comics and the Buddhist thought of comics.
