Cai Zhengren was born in dongzha, Nanxun Town, Wuxing County, Zhejiang Province on July 2, 1941. In October, his family moved to Zhenze Town, Wujiang County, Jiangsu Province. From September 1947 to September 1953, he studied in ouhefang Primary School of Zhenze town.
In January 1954, he was admitted to the Kunqu Opera actor training class of East China Academy of drama. On March 1, "Kunqu Opera actor training class of East China Academy of traditional Chinese opera" opened. At the end of the year, he worked as an old student and studied Kunqu Opera such as San ban and Ji Zi under the guidance of Zheng Chuanjian.
On March 1, 1955, Shanghai Opera School was officially established, and the "Kunqu Opera actor training class of East China Opera Research Institute" was transformed into the first Kunqu Opera actor class of the school (later known as "Kunda class"). On March 2, Shanghai Opera School held a founding meeting to perform the play "encirclement" with Kunqu Opera students. In the same year, Shen Chuanzhi took a fancy to Xu Xian in Kun Opera "broken bridge" and formally transferred to Xiaosheng. From November 3 to 28, 1956, the north and South Kunqu opera performance was held in Shanghai Changjiang theater. They went to watch and perform the opera with Kunqu students.
From June 5 to 7, 1957, he and his Kunqu classmates performed for the first time in Changjiang theater. From December 6 to 15, teachers and students of the Kunqu Opera class of Shanghai Opera School performed Su Xuean's version of the Kunqu Opera "Peony Pavilion" in the popular theater, and Cai Zhengren played Niutou and Xiaowei.
On June 29, 1958, in memory of Guan Hanqing's creation and rehearsal of Kun Opera "moon worship Pavilion", Cai Zhengren played the hero Jiang Zhenglong in the mass theater. In April 1959, he went to Wuxi with the Kunqu Opera Troupe to perform for the leaders of the plenary session of the Central Committee. On July 28, 1961, after graduating from the first Kunqu Opera class of Shanghai Opera School, Cai Zhengren spoke as a student representative. On August 1, he joined the Jingkun experimental troupe of Shanghai Opera School. From October 1 to 31, he took part in the opening performance of the Beijing Kunming experimental troupe, playing Xu Xian in the compromise of "escape Zen" and "going up the mountain" in the Beijing Kunming co production "Legend of the White Snake", playing Bao Tong in "horse peddler" starring Yu Zhenfei and Yan Huizhu, and playing Wang Kui in the Kun Opera "catching Wang Kui alive". On November 25, he performed Kun Opera "the legend of the White Snake" in the public theater, playing Xu Xian. On December 18, he performed in Hong Kong with Jingkun experimental theatre company. From January 29 to February 20, 1962, the Beijing Kunming experimental theater performed in Guangzhou. Since then, Jingkun experimental troupe has been renamed Shanghai Youth Jingkun troupe. Since March 1, he has performed Kunqu Opera the legend of the white snake on the Shanghai People's stage. From February 1 to 10, 1963, he performed Kun Opera "the legend of the White Snake" in China's Grand Theater, playing Xu Xian. On February 9, the opera "horse peddling" was performed in the experimental theater of Shanghai Opera School. On February 10, he performed the play "comment on snow and trace" in the matinee, decorated with LV MENGZHENG. From February 20 to 24, he performed Kun Opera the legend of the white snake as Xu Xian.
On April 1, 1964, the modern drama of Kunqu Opera "own successors" was performed in the public theater. The drama was adapted and arranged by Shanghai Youth Jingkun Opera Troupe based on the drama "red light" created by Zhejiang kunsu Opera Troupe. Cai Zhengren plays Hatoyama, the leader of the Japanese military police. In 1965, he performed Kun Opera Taibai zuixi for Ye Jianying on the people's stage. In the first half of 1966, he took part in the "four Qing movement" in Beicai commune of Shaxian County, a suburb of Shanghai; in the early period of the cultural revolution, he played a supporting role in Qionghua, his own successor and other modern dramas.
In 1971, he was transferred to work in the canteen, and later he was transferred to work in the May 7th cadre school. In 1973, after "three tests and six questions", he entered the Shanghai Peking Opera Troupe's "outsmart the mighty Tiger Mountain" production group and served as Shao Jianbo's c-role. In 1975, he was called to Beijing to accompany Yu Zhenfei in the recording and video work of traditional plays.
In May 1976, he performed in Japan with the Shanghai Peking Opera Troupe's "outwit Weihushan", playing Jiapigou villager and Weihushan bandit, and Shen Jiachang, a well-off middle-class peasant, in the Peking Opera "trial chair". In February 1978, the Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe was officially established. During the performance of the troupe, Cai Zhengren played Xiong Youlan in the Kunqu Opera shi5guan. On May 14, the new Kunqu Opera "Monkey King's three strikes against Baigujing" premiered, playing Tang Seng in the play. On October 2, Kunqu Opera "the legend of the White Snake" resumed, playing Xu Xian with Yue Meiti. On December 22, the adapted Kun Opera "Cai Wenji" premiered in Xuhui theater, playing Dong Si in the play. The drama participated in the 1978 opera performance and won the 1978-1979 creative performance award from Shanghai Municipal Bureau of culture.
On February 13, 1979, the troupe of Kun Opera Cai Wenji went to Beijing to perform for the 30th anniversary of the national day. The opera won the national opera performance award of the Ministry of culture in 1979. From March 17 to April 20, he went to Nanjing with Shangkun to perform such plays as Cai Wenji, biography of the White Snake and horse peddling. Since November 28, Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe has been performing zazixi in Jiefang theater and popular theater, and Cai Zhengren has been performing Kunqu Opera Taibai zuixi.
On February 17, 1980, the new Kunqu Opera "lianhuanji" premiered in the art theater, in which he played Lu Bu. From April 15 to 20, he participated in the commemorative activity of "the 60th anniversary of Yu Zhenfei's acting life" and performed such plays as "the return of the swallow", "the upheaval" and "the broken bridge". On September 17, his new Kun Opera "the shadow of the noble" premiered in Xuhui theater, where he played the role of scholar Wang Zhankui.
