Fang Rongxiang's last words
A brief collection of the past
Fang Rongxiang woke up and asked the doctor, "can I still sing? "The director general of UNESCO, Mr. MBO, said excitedly," I've never heard such a good Peking Opera. Fang's breathing skills are very high, and I can't even hear where to breathe In 1956, Fang Rongxiang transferred to Shandong Peking Opera Troupe. He has always been a clean man, performed meticulously, studied the art of Qiu school assiduously, and became a famous Peking opera performing artist. Fang Rongxiang faithfully inherited the art of Qiu school, and developed and surpassed it. According to the aesthetic needs of modern people, he expanded his style to flattery and euphemism. His singing style is elegant, graceful and clear. He is praised as "Fang's Qiu Yun" by the audience, and praised as "the treasure of Oriental Art" by foreign friends. After decades of unremitting pursuit of his career, Fang Rongxiang became ill from overwork. On December 1, 1984, his heart disease recurred seriously. The Shandong provincial Party committee of the Communist Party of China instructed the immediate establishment of "Fang Rongxiang operation team" to rescue and treat at any cost. in the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong Medical University, experts and professors consulted for six times, and formulated a careful medical plan for Fang Rongxiang's condition. At 7 a.m. on March 4, 1985, Nelson, a cardiologist from the United States, performed the operation. The rescue team began to perform the bypass operation for Fang Rongxiang. The rescue team worked for ten hours and the operation was finally successful. Six months after the operation, Fang Rongxiang met the Shandong audience for the first time. In 1985, less than 10 months after the operation, he put himself into the shooting of "snowflake gone with the wind". He quietly said to his wife, "my blade really hurts!" However, he also performed for the disabled for three days. On September 5, 1987, the first Chinese Art Festival opened in Beijing. Two years after the operation, Fang Rongxiang stepped onto the capital stage for the first time, reappearing the unique charm of the descendants of Qiu school. In June 1988, Fang Rongxiang led a delegation to Hong Kong to participate in the performance of "Peking Opera gathering in Xiangjiang". In Hong Kong, he accepted Wang Haibo, the last disciple he took in his life. He was very happy. In his letter to a friend, he said, "I have been a member of the party for 32 years, and I should also contribute to the cause of the reunification of the motherland.". On June 16, Fang Rongxiang had a heart attack on the scene. He fell backstage, but said to his colleagues, "do not go back to play, continue to perform.". The audience was shocked. They asked Fang Rongxiang to go to the hospital as soon as possible. Fang Rongxiang declined all dissuasions and set up a letter of guarantee: "in case of any misfortune or problems, he is entirely responsible.". Fang Rongxiang was also praised as "the invincible baolongtu" by fans. In August 1988, the Shandong provincial Party committee once again instructed to save Fang Rongxiang's life at any cost. On August 1, Fang Rongxiang's operation was successful for the second time. In order to save money for the country, he left Hong Kong before the edge of the knife healed. In Hong Kong, Fang Rongxiang performed nearly 30 plays, but he didn't have time to enjoy the scenery here. On April 14, 1989, Fang Rongxiang, who was hospitalized in the hospital, was in a very serious condition. Facing his younger brother, who had made a special trip to visit him, he was happy with his life and continued to be heroic: "don't worry, I will recover. When I get out of the hospital, I will take Wang Haibo (a new female disciple from Taiwan) and Shengjing. I play less, let Haibo play more, take her. When you get used to it, go to Beijing and take part in the celebration performance of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China. Do you think it's ok? " A week later, Fang Rongxiang bid farewell to his beloved stage and his dreamy audience forever. How many people can't believe this moment, and how many people can't believe that the artists they love have no return journey this time.
artistic characteristics
Because Qiu Shengrong's performing art is a difficult peak of Jingxing, comprehensive and exquisite. What's more, Fang Rongxiang kept the law and inherited the mantle all his life. Therefore, Fang's Qiu Yun is the development and extension of Qiu school in singing (not the whole), and it does not deviate from the artistic and spiritual core of Qiu school, which is extremely valuable in the inheritance of the school. Fang Rongxiang and his teacher Qiu Shengrong have the same singing style in the layout of the singing style, the basic melody of the singing style, the strong resonance in the nasal cavity, the mellow way of enunciation, "sharp words do not express the truth", the basic use of Beijing characters, the dilution of the upper words, the sound of emotion, and so on.
The timbre and sound quality are pure and thorough, exquisite and elegant
So, what are the artistic characteristics of Fang Rongxiang's singing? First of all, his timbre and sound quality are more pure, thorough and exquisite. One is due to their own conditions (physiological, also have character) different. Although both of them are of good character, they have different experiences; second, they have different pronunciation parts. Qiu Shengrong's voice is rich, in addition to the nasal resonance, at the same time, it runs through the head cavity and below the chest, while Fang Rongxiang's voice position is more forward, mainly concentrated in the nasal cavity and mask; third, there are different voice methods. Fang Rongxiang almost completely avoided the explosive sound, such as the word "die" in "chisang town" and "go" in "steal the Royal horse" and so on. Fang Rongxiang only slightly increased the volume and intensity of singing; fourth, he weakened the syncopal sound. For example, the words "Fu" in "qimeian", "Bao Longtu meditates in Kaifeng" and "Zun" in "Zhao's orphan", "it seems that such a righteous person should be respected" and so on. Qiu Shengrong's singing is more heavy, while Fang Rongxiang's is much lighter; Fifth, his pronunciation is relatively calm, frivolous and clear. In addition, he paid attention to the beauty of pronunciation. For example, in Yao Qi, the word "Na" in "going back to court to see the king in the wufenglou" and in Zhao's orphan, the word "dream" in "I Wei Jiang wake up like a dream" are all sung by Qiu Shengrong as Yin Ping, while Fang returns to the past.
His voice is more delicate and quiet
His overall singing style is similar to that of his master, and very vivid. But there is great initiative and creativity in the details. All of these are based on the premise of expanding their own conditions and not harming the overall style of Qiu school. The first is the use of small glide
