After investigation, Chen Changlin took advantage of his position to seek benefits for others, accepting huge bribes, offering bribes to others and embezzling public funds.

Chen Changlin's above behavior has constituted a serious violation of discipline and is suspected of committing crimes. In accordance with the regulations of the Communist Party of China on disciplinary action and other relevant provisions, the Standing Committee of the provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection deliberated and reported to the provincial Party Committee for approval, and decided to expel Chen Changlin from the party membership; his superior competent unit shall expel him from public office; his income from violation of discipline shall be collected; and his suspected criminal problems and clues shall be transferred to the judicial organs for handling according to law.
