Chen Xiyu
Chen Xilin, guqin player. Born in Beijing in July 1944. He learned Guqin from his father when he was young. In 1959, he was admitted to the Beijing Guqin Research Association and studied Guqin for more than a year. Later, with the encouragement of Guan Pinghu and Wang Di, he was admitted to guqin major of high school attached to Central Conservatory of music in 1960, promoted to Folk Music Department of Central Conservatory of music in 1963, and graduated from Guqin major of China Conservatory of music in 1968. He has been studying Guqin Professor Wu JINGLUE for seven years. From 1973 to 1992, he was a performer and music theory teacher of Zhejiang folk music troupe. He once taught in Zhejiang Art Institute, lecturing "history of ancient Chinese music" and "Introduction to national instrumental music".
In 1983, at the invitation of Hong Kong Cultural Center, he performed with Jiangnan Silk and bamboo Orchestra in Hong Kong;
In 1987, he visited more than ten cities in Japan, including Shizuoka and Fukui, and performed as Guqin solo;
In 1983, he took part in the second national Guqin score making conference and played Xiaoxiang Shuiyun, the magic secret score of Ming Dynasty, which was highly praised by the delegates. The Art Department of China Radio introduced it in the special program of "Guqin schools with different styles";
In 1987, Zhejiang Radio recorded a special program "introducing a group of guqin songs". In addition, he has played Guqin for many films, such as the drama "song of the wind", Taiwan TV film "Fenghua Shanxi", TV series "Lu Xun", "Hu Xueyan".
Her innovative repertoire includes: liberate the south, which she wrote in school, and the Guqin solo Jiuxi stroll, which she cooperated with Zhu Liangkai to describe the scenery of Hangzhou in 1984.
Chen Xili was once the executive director of the Chinese national orchestral Association, the Guqin Professional Committee and the China Guqin Association.
