Xu Huifen, whose stage name is Jiangnan, was born in Changshu, Jiangsu Province. She is the representative of Qinhuai scenery in Jinling thirteen hairpins.

He was very fond of art since childhood. He was admitted to Suzhou Pingtan school in 1988. After four years of professional study, he graduated in 1992 and was assigned to Changshu Pingtan troupe. He studied with Mr. Shen Huiying, head of Changshu Pingtan troupe and national first-class actor. Now, he has been active in Beijing's literary and art stage for a long time, insisting on the front-line position, spreading and promoting Jiangsu folk art Suzhou Pingtan. He has performed for state leaders ye Xuanping, Fei Xiaotong, Wu Yi, Liu Yandong, etc., and has been highly praised. He also studied vocal music with Professor Wang Shikui of China Conservatory of music, focusing on national singing.
