Introduction to Duihe (Lazi Duihe)
Applicant: Razi County, Tibet Autonomous Region
Duihe, which is popular in Tibetan areas, is one of the earliest circle dances accompanied by six string organ. It was originally distributed in the Yarlung Zangbo River Basin, west of Shigatse and Ali area, and then gradually became popular in all parts of Tibet. The traditional form of Duihe performance is the same as the dance form in the murals of Salang and Guge palace ruins of Qiang nationality. Male and female dancers cross hands in front of or behind the body, which is different from other forms of circle dance.
Duihe is divided into two groups: the South Group and the North group. The performance of the people in Duihan belongs to the South Group, and the style is more beautiful; the performance of the people in duihei belongs to the North group, and the style is more magnificent. The former part is mainly singing, with slow rhythm and melodious dancing posture; the latter part is mainly dancing, with lively rhythm, free and easy dancing posture and full of appeal. Duihe is an important form of Tibetan traditional culture. It not only has high artistic value, but also plays an irreplaceable role in the study of Tibetan history and culture, folk customs, primitive religion and so on.
Duihe has been widely spread in Tibet for more than 700 years. "Dui" refers to the higher places in Tibet, including the areas from Razi to Dingri in the upper reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River and parts of Ali; "harmony" means song and dance, and Dui harmony is a popular folk art integrating song and dance, rap and playing. It is the most popular in Shigatse, and is commonly seen in open fields, streets, courtyards and Linka.
Duihe, which is popular in Razi County, is accompanied by a six string instrument. During the performance, the actors sing and dance while playing. The number of people participating in the performance can be more or less, either dancing and singing alone, or playing and singing by two or more people. 80% of the people in Lazi county can play and sing the six stringed piano. Every major festival, Lazi county has to carry out a harmonic performance.
In the long-term development process, through the processing standards of the masses and artists, Razi Duihe gradually formed a stylized performance mode, which can be divided into more than 50 types according to the different content and form. With rich content, beautiful melody, cheerful performance rhythm and free and easy movement, Razi duihou has three main performance postures: head back, waist and chest, presenting a unique artistic style, and enjoys a high reputation in the whole Tibet region and even at home and abroad. With the development of the times and the impact of modern culture, there is a crisis in the survival of Lazi Duihe, which is in urgent need of rescue and protection.
