A brief introduction of Yao people's long drum dance (Huangni drum dance)
Applicant: Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region
Huangni drum dance is mainly distributed in Liuxiang Township and luoxiang township of Jinxiu Yao Autonomous County, Guangxi, where the "Ao Yao" live together. It is a Yao drum dance with regional characteristics.
Dancing yellow mud drum dance is an important part of aoyao's sacrifice to pan Wang. Sacrificial activities are usually held after the autumn harvest, usually in one village or several villages, or in one family.
Yellow mud drum is divided into male drum and female drum; male drum waist is long and thin, female drum waist is thick and short. When playing the yellow mud drum, you need to use the yellow mud to tone on the drum skin, which is why the yellow mud drum gets its name.
The dancers of Huangni drum dance are all men who perform with male drum and female drum respectively. In the past, a female drum was matched with two male drums. Later, it evolved into a female drum matched with several male drums.
When dancing yellow mud drum dance, take the mother drum as the axis, and the male drum encircles the mother drum. In dance, the drum of the mother drum is the most important, which controls the rhythm of the whole dance. The male drum should be beat with the female drum. Therefore, the drum dancers are usually the old artists in the village.
In the process of dancing Huangni drum dance, the content of the king's song of turntable was also added. A singer led the young girl in festival costumes, accompanied by several women playing Muye, to sing and walk slowly around the dance team. The content of the song reflects the origin of ancestors and the scene of working life.
Nowadays, Huangni drum dance has gradually developed into a form of artistic performance.
