In the book of changes, there is a saying that "the dance of drum is to do its best", which not only vividly reflects the long history of Chinese encouragement, but also outlines its main functions. From the original "beating the stone, supporting the stone and leading a hundred animals to dance" to the later generations, the Chinese drum dance has always been in the same continuous line. There are various forms of Chinese drum dance, which are widely distributed. There are many kinds of dances. Among them, the more typical forms are waist drum dance, broken drum dance, flower drum dance, wood drum dance, long drum dance, flat drum dance, copper drum dance, dragon drum dance, fan drum dance, yellow mud drum dance, elephant foot dance, monkey drum dance, flower whip dance, bamboo drum dance, Bell Dance, sheep skin dance and so on.
Liangzhou gongguzi is a folk drum dance, which is popular in Yangjiazhai, Siba Town, Liangzhou District, Wuwei City, Gansu Province. Historically, Siba town was the residence of many ethnic minorities in the north from the early Han Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties. After the Ming Dynasty, Han people from Shanxi, Jiangsu and Zhejiang moved in. Therefore, Siba town has always been a multi-ethnic settlement. It can be said that gongguzi is a unique Western inspiring art which combines western region music and dance with Central Plains music and dance.
Liangzhou gongguzi is a relic of the ancient war music and dance. All the movements reflect the characteristics of "attack". The performers are all male, ranging from dozens to hundreds, two in pairs and eight in a group. They wear black Fu hat with two pheasant plumes on it and fan-shaped white paper flowers on the edge of the hat. They wear black "Thirteen Tai Bao" (Kua Yi), fast boots on their feet, red drums on their waists and drumsticks in their hands. The basic way to attack the drum is to draw an arc in front of the chest with both hands and turn the drum alternately. The performance shows the formation of "two feet against each other", "showing the three armed forces", "fighting the enemy through four gates", "climbing high and looking far", "setting up Lotus" and "hanging array", which fully reflects the ancient warrior's brave and courageous masculinity, and gives people the beauty of majestic and mysterious It has the reputation of "Black Whirlwind" in desert.
Liangzhou drum set entertainment, artistic, local, spontaneous and national in one, has a high aesthetic value and cultural identity. Since the founding of new China, under the support and guidance of the Cultural Department of Liangzhou District, gongguzi has been well excavated and sorted out. In September 1996, Liangzhou gongguzi took part in the folk inspiration competition of the Sixth National stars Art Festival held by the Ministry of culture and won the silver medal.
With the development of market economy and the influence of foreign culture, Liangzhou drum attack has rarely attracted the interest of local young people. Some young drum attack performers go out to do business and work, and are scattered all over the country. Old artists are getting older and unable to perform, which directly affects the inheritance and development of drum attack. The relevant departments should quickly make plans to rescue and protect this valuable folk dance art.
