Introduction to hulusheng dance of Yi Nationality
Applicant: Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province
The hulusheng dance of Xichou Yi people is popular in jijieman village, Xichou County, Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Man village is a village inhabited by Hualuo people of Yi nationality. Hulusheng dance of Hualuo people is an ancient folk dance of Yi people. It is unique with the typical dance posture of body "s" shape moving back and forth, showing the charm of hulusheng dance of ancient Dian people. On the Kaihua ancient bronze drum decoration, there are four dancers' decorative patterns, which are wearing feather crowns, wearing feather clothes and playing hulusheng. The dancing posture is a typical "s" shape, which moves back and forth. In other words, it can be proved that in the long historical period, when the ancient Dian people danced hulusheng dance, they were wearing a feather crown on their head, holding feathers in their hands, wearing a feather coat, bending their limbs and feet and flying around. Today, the headdress and dress of Hualuo women in man village still have some traces of "feather crown" and "feather clothing", which shows that hulusheng dance of Hualuo people in man village is inherited from the dance of ancient Dian people, and has its specific historical and cultural connotation.
During the important festival of Hualuo people, all the men, women and children in the village gathered in the courtyard. The women dressed in festival costumes danced in a circle with the accompaniment of hulusheng. Hulusheng dance has seven different dance routines: Yasai (standing dance), Yaqing (starting dance), Yala (moving and turning over), Yajiang (walking in circles), Yawen (wearing flowers), Yanong (nodding to the head) and Yagan (jumping forward and back). Each routine has different hulusheng tunes, and the music is rich. Hualuoren gourd Sheng is made of five bamboo pipes of different lengths. Bamboo or copper reeds are embedded in the roots of the pipes to insert the sound bucket made of gourd. The three pipes have sound holes on the side. The shortest one has sound holes on the back of the sound bucket, and the longest one has a small gourd on the top to increase resonance.
Due to the changes of production and life and the impact of foreign culture, the artistic characteristics and cultural connotation of hulusheng dance of Yi nationality are gradually weakening, the form of expression is becoming more and more single, and the inheritance is not optimistic. It should be protected and rescued as soon as possible.
