Introduction to lion dance (Yue family lion in Fengcheng)
Applicant: Fengcheng City, Jiangxi Province
Lion dance, also known as "Lion Dance", "lion lantern", "Lion Dance" and "Lion Dance", is an important part of traditional Chinese acrobatics. Lion dance has a long history. It is popular in the Han nationality areas of China. It frequently appears in the Spring Festival and other festivals and celebrations. Through lively performances, it expresses the good wishes of Chinese people to pray for good luck and eliminate disasters. The forms of lion dance in different parts of China are different, and the regional characteristics are very distinct. It is generally divided into two categories: South lion and north lion. South lion is vigorous and ferocious, and most of them perform difficult skills. North lion is cute, and most of them play.
Yuejiashi is a folk art activity created by local people in Fengcheng, Jiangxi Province to commemorate the national hero Yue Fei. It originated in the Song Dynasty and became in the Ming Dynasty. It has a history of more than 400 years.
After Yue Fei was killed, there was an upsurge of practicing Yuejia boxing among the people, which lasted for a long time. It is explained that Luo Hongxian, the famous martial arts master after the old army of Yuejia, inherited the unique skills of Yuejia boxing during the Jiajing period of the Dai Dynasty. The famous general Deng Zilong learned from Luo Hongxian when he was young, and got the true biography of Yuejia boxing, especially the unique skill of "Yuefei spear". After he was demoted back to his hometown in Fengcheng, Deng Zilong combined Fengcheng's "Xuemen boxing" and "yuejiashou" (hard door boxing) to create yuejiashi, which fully showed the strong and dangerous characteristics of yuejiaquan and was widely spread in Xinjian, Anyi, Chongren, Zhangshu and other places.
Lion dance starts with yuejiashui and fireball. First perform Yuejia gun, Yuejia hammer and Yuejia fist, then perform Houjian, cudgel and bench in turn. Give full play to each performance. The lion is led out by the meteor. Under the background of the meteor movements such as "snow covering the top", "meteor catching the moon", "over the back", "chain hand", the lion dances and performs such movements as "neck drawing", "stretching laziness", "combing beard" and "licking dust".
Yuejia lion is a combination of talent and martial arts. Its style is characterized by "Wei", "Xiong" and "danger". It emphasizes hard Kung Fu and acts in unison. It is most taboo to embroider legs and fists, and focuses on "Three Yin" and "Three Yang". Yin for static, Yang for dry, static and more than, dry but not chaotic, there is a general demeanor.
Fengcheng yuejiashi combines martial arts and dance into a whole. It melts meaning, thought, form and posture into one. It shows calligraphy by boxing and shows the plot by dancing. It contains profound cultural connotation and elegant artistic taste, and shows the indomitable spiritual will of the Chinese nation. It has high artistic and historical and cultural research value. At present, the performance team is shrinking, the staff is aging, the inheritors are scarce, and the skills are deteriorating, which is in urgent need of rescue.
