Applicant: Huzhu Tu Autonomous County, Qinghai Province
Larenbu and jimensuo is a long folk poem of Tu nationality. It is written and sung in the spoken language of Tu nationality. It is handed down by word of mouth among the masses. It is still a living form of oral literature.
With vivid images, deep solemn and stirring language, and in the form of speaking and singing, this folk literary work narrates the love tragedy of the poor laren Bu and the shepherd's sister jimensuo, who developed from an employer relationship to a passionate love relationship. Because of the obstruction of jimensuo brothers and sisters, the love between the two lovers ended in failure.
The whole poem is mainly about talking and singing, which is divided into eight chapters. It is the crystallization of the collective wisdom of the working people of the Tu nationality. It has a wide range of mass characteristics. It is a narrative love song that the Tu people like to sing most, and has different styles in different regions. In the way of singing, larenbu and jimensuo mainly sing duet between men and women, but different from the general question and answer duet. The melody is unique, with clear structure and distinct layers.
Larenbu and jimensuo is sung entirely in the local language. It originates from the Tu nationality area, grows and develops in the Tu nationality area, and is rooted in the traditional culture of the Tu nationality. It is loved by the local Tu and Han people. In the story, larenbu, jimensuo, brother, sister-in-law and other main characters have distinctive personality characteristics, with a wide range of mass and unique national characteristics, which provides vivid materials for ethnology, linguistics and Tu sociology. In addition, the story described in larenbu and jimensuo reflects one aspect of the Tu People's gradual shift from nomadic production mode to agricultural production mode, which has important historical research value.
With the passage of time, most of the inheritors of this long folk poem have passed away one after another. The young and middle-aged people under 50 can hardly sing, and there are no successors. They are in urgent need of rescue and protection.
