Introduction to Buddhist music
Applicant: Rangtang County, Sichuan Province
Jue Nang Sanskrit is a set of Sanskrit music with a certain plot, which is composed of five aspects, namely, greeting, bathing, conversion, praise and harmony. It has been living for more than 1000 years in the snow area.
Juenong Sanskrit, with its large number of repertoire, ancient musical instruments and its own system of notation (the "central shift" notation method of expressing the height and length of the sound with various shapes and different thicknesses of lines), has inherited more than 300 isolated music scores and has become a cultural treasure house for the study of ancient Buddhist music works and music information. Juenong Sanskrit is regarded as "the living fossil of Chinese music history" by musicology circles for its long Buddhist music history and multi-cultural characteristics, which is of great academic research value. Jue Nang Sanskrit is in accordance with the moral norms and social values of "harmonious world, starting from the heart" and "harmonious world, harmony among the people". It is a kind of natural sound that makes people have kindness, compassion and peace of mind, which produces emptiness and happiness.
Jue Nang's Sanskrit music not only meets the most urgent spiritual needs of the majority of believers, but also faithfully preserves the basic features of Chinese traditional Tibetan Buddhist music, which provides a typical vivid example for the study of the connotation and changes of Chinese traditional Tibetan Buddhist culture.
