There are many sources of Uyghur advocacy music, some from folk songs, some from folk song and dance, and some from folk rap and Muqam classical music. For example, in Luopu County of Hotan area, the drummer music is composed of three nagras, and the rhythm is unique, which is obviously different from other places.
Uygur drum music is mainly used for mass self entertainment dance accompaniment. It plays an extremely important role in all kinds of festival celebrations and life rituals of Uygur, and has high technical and cultural research value. The drumbeat music of Turpan area can play the melody of Turpan Muqam from beginning to end, which enjoys a great reputation in Xinjiang. At present, Xinjiang Uygur drum music has not been systematically and comprehensively collected. With the death of the older generation of drummers, some classes have stopped their activities. In this situation, it is necessary to carry out comprehensive planning and take effective measures to ensure the smooth inheritance of this ancient folk music style.
