Brief introduction of bone setting therapy of traditional Chinese medicine (Shi's traumatology therapy)
Applicant: Huangpu District, Shanghai
Chinese orthopedic therapy is also known as "traumatology" or "orthopedics". In ancient agricultural society, the incidence rate of bone injuries was very high, which was a common disease and frequently occurring disease. At that time, the medical conditions were very poor, and the traffic in the rural villages was blocked. Once fracture occurred, it was very difficult to find treatment. Therefore, the real knowledge was needed and the talents were needed. There were almost one or two local doctors and local methods to cure bone injuries in some large villages and towns. It is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine therapy with wide distribution and various schools in China.
The characteristics of bone setting therapy of traditional Chinese medicine are shown in three aspects. The first is the unique understanding of bone physiology and bone injury pathology according to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, the second is the wonderful use of manipulation, and the third is the characteristics of drugs. These three points often form a unique therapy and a famous school. With the development of society and the deepening of academic exchanges, traditional Chinese orthopedic therapy has a tendency of convergence, but some famous traumatology experts and famous traumatology schools still have regional characteristics, manipulation characteristics and medication characteristics. Compared with Western orthopedic therapy, Chinese orthopedic therapy still has its unique advantages.
Shi's traumatology therapy was created by Shi Lanting in 1880. It is a unique method of diagnosis and treatment in orthopedics and traumatology of traditional Chinese medicine, which combines traditional martial arts and internal treatment of traditional Chinese medicine.
Shi's idea of "Thirteen branches and one principle" is applied to orthopedics and traumatology of traditional Chinese medicine, which has great value of traditional Chinese medicine culture. Shi's Department of Traumatology attaches importance to the overall concept in theory, emphasizes the balance of Qi and blood, and the combination of internal and external, and establishes the "32 character treatment thought". In terms of diagnosis and treatment, three-stage treatment should be emphasized for muscle and bone injuries; internal injuries should be treated according to viscera Qi and blood; old injuries should be treated according to strain. In terms of technique, it emphasizes the principle of "steady and vigorous, soft and flexible, fine and correct", and sums up the twelve words for use, namely "stretching and pressing, pulling and rolling, pressing and shaking". In terms of medication, we pay attention to the changes of prescriptions with the disease and the differences of medicines with the disease. Through long-term practice, we have summed up a series of famous prescriptions such as Sanse dressing, Xiaosan ointment, Qilin powder, Xinshang Xuduan Decoction and so on.
Due to the impact of Western medicine surgery, traditional Chinese medicine traumatology, especially the most characteristic manipulation and other non drug therapies are shrinking day by day; because the development requirements of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine are the same, many traditional Chinese medicine therapies are lost. In this situation, Shi's Department of traumatology is in the dilemma of lack of successors and surgery, and it is urgent to strengthen the protection.
