In the long-term practice of land reclamation, the local people have accumulated some experience in production and life, and found that Artemisia ordosica can not only be used for composting or firewood burning, but also be used to burn soil alkali. It is economical, practical and low-cost to use Artemisia ordosica seed to produce caustic soda, especially in the hard years of tight material supply and the areas with relatively backward economic level, which can not only reduce the expenditure of the masses, but also generate income.
