The production of summer cloth can be traced back to the late Eastern Jin Dynasty. The summer cloth of Tang Dynasty was listed as a tribute, with the production of Wanzai in Jiangxi Province and Rongchang in Sichuan Province as the main representatives.

Wanzai summer cloth is a typical traditional handmade cloth in Jiangxi Province. It originated in the Eastern Jin Dynasty and has a history of more than 1500 years. Due to the round shape of newly woven hemp yarn, it is also called round yarn summer cloth. Compared with the foreign flat yarn summer cloth, it has better texture, finer hemp and more durable. This summer cloth has fine quality, flat edge, uniform weaving, beautiful color, strong air permeability, cool perspiration, no wrinkle, no deformation, easy to wash, the more washed, the whiter. It is a pure hand-made, pure environmental protection product, without any pollution to human body and environment. From ramie to summer cloth, the whole production process is mainly divided into ramie planting, raw material production and summer cloth production.
