Zhenping jade carving is a kind of folk jade carving skill which is popular in Zhenping county, Nanyang City, Henan Province. Dushan jade, also known as "Dushan jade", is one of the "four famous jades" in China. It has the characteristics of bright color, good transparency and high hardness. Duyu mining has a long history, and the carving based on it can be traced back to the Longshan cultural layer of anguocheng site 4500 years ago. In addition to Nanyang Dushan jade as raw material, Zhenping jade carving also widely uses northeast Xiuyu and imported jade materials. According to techniques, Zhenping jade carving includes two types: HuaHuo and suhuo. Huaxun, converter, birds, animals, ladies and so on are all HuaHuo. The knife technique is complex, the carving is exquisite, and the shape is novel. Rings, bracelets, earrings, necklaces and so on belong to plain work, and the color and texture of jade materials are especially emphasized when making them.
