Introduction to Jiaodong drum
Applicant: Yantai City, Shandong Province
Jiaodong Dagu was created by the blind at the beginning, and the singers in the early years were storytellers and fortune tellers. After Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty, it gradually developed into the tune of Dagu in the early stage with the combination of "backer tune". In the 1920s, the blind people in Jiaodong Peninsula were popular, and they absorbed Donglu Dagu, Laiyang Tanci, Maoqiang and other singing tunes, and got new development.
Jiaodong drum is a popular form of drum music in Jiaodong Peninsula, which can be roughly divided into three ways. When Rongcheng and Liu Xueyi appeared in the early years of Qianlong, it is estimated that this kind of music has a history of about 250 years.
The accompaniment instruments of Jiaodong drum are drum, board and Sanxian.
In 1937, the war of resistance against Japan broke out. Based on patriotic enthusiasm, blind artists in Jiaodong changed the blind organization "Sanhuang meeting" into "blind Anti Japanese national salvation meeting", singing drums to carry out Anti Japanese propaganda.
Jiaodong drum plays an important role in Jiaodong folk culture. It is a miniature of the rich and colorful folk culture in Jiaodong. It plays an important role in various historical periods, especially in the Anti Japanese war.
Excavating, rescuing and protecting Jiaodong drum will play an important role in the construction of spiritual civilization in Yantai area and even in the whole country, enriching people's cultural life, improving people's quality, promoting people's all-round development, and building a socialist harmonious society.
