Laiwu Bangzi is an ancient local opera in Shandong Province. It originated in Taiyi mountain area and is popular in central and eastern Shandong. It has a history of more than 200 years. At the end of Qianlong period, Anhui Hui Opera Troupe Lao Yangchun went northward along the way of Hui troupe to Beijing and settled down in Xia Zhang, Tai'an.
