Local opera is a popular local opera in Anshun City, Guizhou Province. Its emergence is related to the Anshun troops from Anhui, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Henan and other places in the early Ming Dynasty. The army of the Ming Dynasty set up 24 guards and 26 garrisons in Guizhou, including 3 guards and 2 garrisons in Anshun. According to historical materials, the soldiers of garrisons were called "Tunpu people". With Tunpu people, Dixi came into being.

The performance of Anshun Dixi is based on villages, and the actors are genuine farmers. Generally, there are twenty or thirty actors in a play in a village, and the "God head" is responsible for it. The performance is held in the Spring Festival and the rice blossom season in July of the lunar calendar every year. When the villagers are building houses and praying for wealth and children, they will invite the "gods" of the local opera team, such as Guan Yu and she Taijun, to "open the door of wealth" and "send the prince away".

Anshun Dixi is a kind of ancient drama, which is characterized by wearing a green scarf on the head, a battle skirt around the waist, a mask on the forehead, a spear, sword and halberd in hand, singing and dancing. His singing is a seven character and ten character ballad. Accompanied by a gong and a drum, one person leads the singing, and the others accompany. His dance is full of Yiyang's old tune. His dance mainly shows fighting and killing in battle, which is vigorous, rough, simple and vigorous. The thirty books in Anshun Dixi, featuring the favorite generals of the Tunpu people, including the Xue family, the Yang family, the Yue family, the di family, the heroes of the Three Kingdoms and the Wagang heroes, praise the loyalty and the loyal ministers who serve the country. All of them are the battle stories of Jin Ge tie ma.

Anshun Dixi is a rare living material for the study of drama genesis, anthropology, religion, folklore and other disciplines. However, under the impact of modern culture, its performances are gradually shrinking, and the number of actors is decreasing year by year. Many villages with local opera teams have stopped playing gongs and drums for many years. It is urgent to protect this ancient drama with rich cultural connotation.
