Introduction to Zhuang Opera
Applicant: Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region
Zhuang Opera, also known as "Zhuang Opera", is developed on the basis of Zhuang folk literature, song and dance, and rap skills. In the old days, Zhuang people called themselves "Butuo", which means "aborigines" and "natives", and called Zhuang Opera "changtuo", which is different from Han Opera.
Due to the differences of regional environment, dialect, music singing, performance style and accompanying instruments, Zhuang Opera has produced branches of Zhuang Opera in Guangxi, such as North Road Zhuang Opera, South Road Zhuang Opera, Zhuang Shigong Opera (also known as Zhuang Shigong Opera), Funing Zhuang Opera and Guangnan Zhuang Opera in Yunnan. Among them, Guangxi Beilu Zhuang Opera is popular in the areas where the northern Zhuang dialect is used, with maguhu, huluhu, Yueqin and other instruments as accompaniment. The aria mainly includes zhengdiao, pingdiao, Buya Diao, Maocha Diao, scolding ban, hating ban, crying Diao, mourning Diao and so on. Some of the characters have specific aria, including Buya, Wenlong and Xiaoni, Liu Er Da fangui and so on Zhuang puppet opera and maai Zhuang Opera are popular in Southern Zhuang dialects, with Qinghu, Houhu, xiaosanxian as accompaniment instruments. The singing mainly includes flat, tandiao, Caihua, Xidiao, kuaixi, Gaoqiang, kudiao, handiao, Shidiao, etc The folk songs and dances of shigongjiao are popular in Hechi, Liuzhou, Baise and other places in Guangxi. At the beginning of the performance, they were dressed in red and wooden masks. Later, they were dressed up in costumes, accompanied by bee drums, gongs, cymbals and non membranous flutes. The plays include king Moyi, white horse girl, etc. the Zhuang Opera in Funing and Guangnan, which are popular in Yunnan, are greatly influenced by the local operas of the Han nationality.
Rooted in the soil of national life, Zhuang Opera is a kind of opera with a long history and unique characteristics created by the Zhuang people, and a bridge for ethnic cultural exchanges in Southeast Asia.
At present, due to the acceleration of the modernization process, Zhuang Opera is under the impact of multi culture and strong culture, and its survival is in crisis. The young generation pursues fashion and regards Zhuang Opera as a local custom, and their enthusiasm for appreciating and inheriting the national traditional culture is greatly reduced. With the death of the old artists of Zhuang Opera, the inheritance of Zhuang Opera in many places began to break down, and this characteristic drama began to disappear naturally. Timely rescue and protection of Zhuang Opera has become an important task that can not be ignored.
