Zhenze town belongs to Wujiang District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is located in the west of Wujiang District, at the junction of Jiangsu and Zhejiang. It is adjacent to Taihu Lake in the north, Mayang in the East, Tongluo in the South and Nanxun in Zhejiang Province in the West. The town center is located at 30 ° 54 ′ N and 120 ° 29 E.
The permanent population of Zhenze town was 89952 (in 2017). Zhenze town has a total administrative area of 95.61 square kilometers (in 2017), and a town area of 5.3 square kilometers, which governs 23 administrative villages and 5 communities.

History of construction
During the spring and Autumn period (770-476 BC), Zhenze was located at the junction of Wu and Yue, which was called Wu tou Yue Wei in ancient times. In the north of the town, there is a village named "Wu Yue war". It is said that the two countries fought here and got the name (now it belongs to Miaogong minzibang Village). At the beginning, Zhenze belonged to Wu and later to Yue. The Warring States period (475-221 BC) was merged into Chu.
In the Qin Dynasty (221-207 BC), Wucheng county was subordinate to Kuaiji county.
In the fourth year of Yongjian (129) of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Wujun and Kuaiji were the branch prefectures. Kuaiji was governed by yishanyin, and Zhenze was Wucheng County of Wujun.
In the Three Kingdoms, the first year of Wu Baoding (266), Wu County was changed to Wu Xing County, which led Wu Cheng county and Zhenze county.
In the third year of Taikang in the Western Jin Dynasty (282), it was divided into Wucheng Dongxiang and Dongqian County, which was under the jurisdiction of Wuxing county.
In 589, Dongqian county was merged into Wucheng county and was subordinate to Suzhou. Renshou two years (602 years) to Li Huzhou. Daye two years (606) is still attached to Suzhou. Daye 14 years back to Wuxing County, Zhenze belongs to it.
In the fourth year of Wude (621), Wuxing county was changed into Huzhou, which governed Wucheng county and Zhenze county. In the 29th year of Kaiyuan (741) of Tang Dynasty, Zhang jingzun, the governor of Huzhou, set up the earthquake law hall in the place, which was the beginning of the name of Zhenze.
In 909, the third year of Kaiping in the Later Liang Dynasty, Qian Miao, the king of Wu and Yue, cut the south of Wu County and the north of Jiaxing, and set up Wujiang county. Zhenze belonged to Wujiang county. At the beginning of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1131-1145), Zhenze inspection department was set up in the vicinity of the imperial capital, and the name of the town began here.
In the early years of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhenze was located near the capital of the emperor. The imperial court set up an inspector to inspect the town. The name of Zhenze town began from then on. In Hongzhi's wujiangzhi, Zhenze became one of the first four established towns in Wujiang.
In 1726, Zhenze county was located in the west of Wujiang River, and Zhenze town was Zhenze county. In 1860, the Taiping army occupied Zhenze County, which belonged to Sufu province of the heavenly Dynasty. In the second year of tongzhi (1863), the Qing army took back Suzhou, which still belonged to Suzhou government. The first year of Xuantong (1909) was ordered to prepare for autonomy. Zhenze county set up seven towns. Zhenze was an autonomous town. In 1911, it was restored.
In 1912, the Republic of China was founded and Zhenze county was incorporated into Wujiang county. The county is divided into 6 cities and 12 townships, Zhenze City, Wujiang county. In August 1918, 18 cities and townships in the county were divided into 10 districts. Zhenze was the Fifth District under the jurisdiction of the district. In July 1926, the Japanese invaded China, and on November 17, Zhenze was occupied. In 1929, the Wang puppet regime still set Zhenze as the Fifth District. In 1932, it was renamed the eighth district. In July 1952, Zhenze town was upgraded to a county town directly under Wujiang county. In November 1957, Zhenze district was withdrawn, and the town was still a county town. In 1958, Zhenze people's commune was established. In February 1959, villages and towns became one, and the town was under the jurisdiction of the commune.
In August 1962, towns were separated and Zhenze town was restored to a county town.
In October 1985, towns and townships were merged and the system of managing villages by towns was implemented.
In 1992, Wujiang county was set up as a city, and Zhenze town belongs to Wujiang City.
On October 29, 2012, Wujiang City was divided into districts, and Zhenze town belongs to Wujiang district.
