History of construction
In the spring and Autumn period, Shengze was the junction of Wu and Yue. When Wu and Yue fought, the place was sometimes Wu and sometimes cross the border. According to Jiaxing new records of the Republic of China, in the 24th year of King Jing of Zhou Dynasty (496 BC), Li, who was in the south of Jiaxing County, was the southern border of Wu. Shengze is located in the north of Jiahe, which belongs to Wu. In 473 B.C., the 23rd year of Fucha, the king of Wu, Wu was destroyed by Yue, and this place is a cross-border place. After the Mid Tang Dynasty, Shengze was the hometown of Chengyuan in Jiaxing. In 909, the third year of Kaiping in Houliang Dynasty, Qian Liu, the king of Wu and Yue, cut Songling in the south of Wu County, and set Wujiang County in the six townships of Qichuan, Pingwang, Zhenze, Chengyuan, Fanyu and Jiuyong in the north of Jiaxing.
