Xiaying town
Xiaying town is located on the banks of Guijiang River and siliang River in the north of Wanxiu District, Wuzhou City. It is adjacent to Wangfu town in the East, daoshui town in Changzhou District in the west, Longhu town in Wanxiu District in the south, Jingnan town and Liubao town in the north. Xiaying town is a big agricultural town in Wanxiu District, which was called "hometown of many sages" in ancient times. The town government is 20 kilometers away from Wuzhou City. With a total area of 227 square kilometers, the town governs 22 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee and 261 villager groups, with a total population of 47560 (2017)
Evolution of organizational system
In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the political power of Xiaying town was set up in Fenghuang village. In the Qing Dynasty, there was a scholar named xiagua Xiaying. Because Fenghuang village is low-lying and often threatened by floods, a new polder was built in jinjiting (dadipo, the current site) in 1933, and it was relocated in 27 years, and remained unchanged until 2010. Xiaying town is the birthplace of the first peasant association led by the Communist Party of China and the first rural branch of the Communist Party of China in Guangxi. In 2000, Xiaying town was divided into the old town of the first Civil Revolutionary War by Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Before 2003, Xiaying town was under the jurisdiction of Cangwu county. From 2003 to 2013, it was under the jurisdiction of Dieshan district. In March 2013, Wanxiu district and Dieshan district were merged into a new Wanxiu district. Xiaying town was officially under the jurisdiction of Wanxiu district. Xiaying town has 22 administrative villages and 1 neighborhood committee. Xinxia village. It is located in Xiaying street, adjacent to Zhupo, Fenghuang, Zhen'an and Baoan villages. In 1954, it was under the jurisdiction of Xiaying township. In August 1958, it was separated from Xiaying brigade and called "directly subordinate brigade". Xinxia brigade was established in 1961 and renamed Xinxia village in October 1984. It was named "Xinxia" because it was separated from Xiaying brigade and was different from Xiaying village. Xinxia village governs three natural villages with a population of 404 in 2006. In 2010, there were 765 people. There are 360 Mu paddy fields, mainly planting rice, sweet potato, cassava, peanuts, vegetables and so on. Convenient transportation, there are roads to Wuzhou City. Beisheng village. Located 11 kilometers north of Xiaying street, it is the most remote administrative village in Xiaying town. It is adjacent to tianhongling forest farm in the north, Shuangdong, Siwei and Sian villages. It has jurisdiction over 8 natural villages. In 1961, it was separated from the ideological and political Commission group and called Beisheng group. In 1962, it merged with the ideological and political Commission. In 1980, he was separated from the ideological and political Commission and called Beisheng brigade again. In October 1984, it was called Beisheng village. The population was 1131 in 2006 and 1178 in 2010. There are 700 Mu paddy fields, planting rice, sweet potato, cassava. There is Tongtian Hongling forest farm on the road. The lower Tongsi committee is connected with Wangshi highway. It is rich in Shatang orange, Emperor orange and other fruits. Siwei village. Siwei village is located 9 kilometers north of Xiaying street with hilly landform, adjacent to Minzhi village, Ping'an Village, Si'an village and Beisheng village. During the Qing Dynasty, Siwei village, Si'an village, Ping'an Village and Beisheng village were collectively called Sibao, belonging to Duoxian township. In 1933, Duoxian township was called Xiaying District, and Sibao township was renamed Siwei township. After 1949, it was called Siwei Township, belonging to the Second District of Cangwu county. In 1952, it was divided into two townships, Siwei and Sian. In August 1958, it was renamed Siwei brigade. In 1961, it was divided into five groups, namely, Si Wei, Si'an, Beisheng, Ping'an and xiahu, belonging to Guteng commune. In 1962, it was also called the ideological and political Commission brigade. In 1965, it was divided into the ideological and political Commission and the Si'an brigade. In 1968, it was merged into the ideological and political Commission brigade. In 1980, it was further divided into the ideological and political Commission, Si'an, Beisheng and Ping'an brigades. Si'an village is located 9 kilometers northwest of Xiaying street, with hilly landform. It is connected with Pingan village of Siwei village, Beisheng village and mubo village of Changfa town. In 1965, Si'an village was separated from the Si'an Committee and was stationed in Ping'an Village with Ping'an Village. In order to avoid double names, it was named Si'an brigade. In 1968, it merged with the ideological and political Commission. In 1980, it was again divided into the Si'an brigade. In October 1984, it was renamed Si'an village. Si'an village governs 4 natural villages. In 2006, the population was 1813. In 2010, there were 1781 people. Ping'an Village is located 9 kilometers northwest of Xiaying street, with hilly landform, adjacent to Gudao village in Siwei, Fujiao, Sian and daoshui towns. Si'an village was separated from Si'an Committee in June 1961. It is located in Ping'an, hence its name. In 1962, it was merged into the ideological and political Commission brigade, and in 1980, it was separated again, known as the Ping'an brigade. In October 1984, it was renamed Ping'an Village. Ping'an Village governs 7 natural villages, with a population of 1825 in 2006 and 1921 in 2010. Shuangdong village. Shuangdong village is located 11.5km northeast of Xiaying street in mountainous area. It is adjacent to Cancun, puwang and Daning villages in Liubao Town, Minzhi village and Yuxiu village in Xiaying town and tianhongling forest farm in the West. It got its name because the village committee was stationed in Shuangdong. Shuangdong was separated from Yuxiu in 1961 to form Shuangdong brigade, which was merged into Yuxiu in August 1962, and then separated from Yuxiu in 1965 to be under the jurisdiction of Minzhi brigade. In March 1980, the Shuangdong brigade was separated from Minzhi. It was called Shuangdong village in October 1984 and has jurisdiction over four natural villages. In 2006, it had a population of 626, and in 2010, it had a population of 742. There are 380 Mu paddy fields, mainly planting rice, sweet potato, peanut, cassava and so on. Minzhi village. Minzhi village is located 7.5km north of Xiaying street. Hilly landform, and Yuxiu, zhoumu, Ping'an, Shuangdong village adjacent. In October 1950, Minzhi village belonged to Yuxiu township. In 1957, it belonged to gutengda township. In August 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Yuxiu brigade. In 1965, it was separated from Yuxiu brigade and established Minzhi brigade. Because the brigade is stationed in Minhua (now Jingkou) and Zhian (now luoditang), two villages jointly set up a primary school. Each village takes the first word and is named Minzhi primary school. The combination of the two villages is called Minzhi brigade. In October 1984, it was renamed Minzhi village. In 1911, Yuxiu village belonged to Duoxian township. In 1933, Yuxiu township was separated from Duoxian Township and named after Yuxiu village. In 1949, it was returned to the Second District of Cangwu county. In 1957, it belonged to Guteng township. In August 1958, it was returned to Xiaying commune. In 1965, it was separated by the river, Yuxiu village in the East and Minzhi village in the West. In October 1984, Yuxiu administrative village was established. Yuxiu village governs 9 natural villages, of which 3 are located in mountainous areas and 6 are hilly. In 2006, the population was 2626, and in 2010, the population was 2714. It was named zhoumu because it was based in Zhoucun. It belonged to Duoxian Township in 1950, gutengda Township in 1957, and zhoumu brigade in August 1958. In 1961, it was divided into two groups, zhoumu group above Zhoucun and Gaocai group below (excluding Zhoucun). In 1984, it was merged into zhoumu village, which has jurisdiction over five natural villages. In 2006, the population was 1880. In 2010, there were 1869 people. It mainly grows rice, cassava, sweet potato, peanut, etc. Wangshi highway runs through the whole territory with convenient transportation. Zhupo village. Located 1 km northeast of Xiaying street, it has hilly landform. It is adjacent to lixiu village, Fenghuang village, Xinxia village and Sima village. It is named after Zhupo natural village. Zhupo village belongs to Duoxian Township in 1949. In 1952, he returned to Sima township. In 1961, Zhupo brigade was set up from Sima. In 1962, it merged with Sima again. In 1965, Zhupo brigade was set up again. Zhupo administrative village was established in October 1984, with a population of 2123 in 2006 and 2445 in 2010. Located 3 km northeast of Xiaying street, it has hilly landform. It is adjacent to lixiu village, Zhupo village, Gaocai village and Yuxiu village. The administrative village is located in Silong village. Before 1949, Sima village belonged to Duoxian township. He returned to Yuxiu Township in October 1950.
