Zhaoxiang town is subordinate to Qingpu District of Shanghai, adjacent to Xujing town in the East, Xiayang street and Xianghuaqiao street in the west, Sijing and Sheshan town in Songjiang District in the south, and Chonggu and Huaxin towns in the north. It is 12 kilometers away from Hongqiao Airport in the East, Sheshan, a national tourist base in the south, and Dianshan Lake scenic spot in the West. Zhaoxiang town has convenient transportation, with "ten horizontal and three vertical" roads passing through Zhaoxiang. Horizontally, there are Shanghai Nanjing Expressway, Shanghai Hangzhou Expressway, G50 expressway, S32 expressway, 318 national highway, 312 national highway, Beiqing highway, Songze Avenue, Shanghai Nanjing railway and Shanghai Hangzhou railway. History of construction
In 1542, when Qingpu County was established, Zhaoxiang belonged to Qingpu.
In 1910, Qingpu County was divided into 16 cities and townships.
In 1916, Beifeng tianfangtie township was changed to Beifeng tianfangtie township.
In 1946, the county was reorganized into 27 townships. Zhaoxiang was divided into Beixia and Songsheng townships.
On May 4, 1949, Zhaoxiang area was liberated. Zhaoxiang was the ninth Office of Qingpu County, Songjiang District, Southern Jiangsu administrative office. After the founding of new China, in November 1949, the 9th office and the 10th office were merged into Yugan District, and Zhaoxiang was divided into Fangxia, Zhaohe and Songze townships.
In May 1955, Yugan was divided into Yushan district and Qingdong District, and Zhaoxiang belonged to Qingdong district.
In May 1957, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. Zhaoxiang was divided into two townships, Beisong and Fengdang.
In September 1958, Zhaoxiang people's commune was established by the merger of BeiSong and Fengdang. On November 21 of the same year, Qingpu County was under the jurisdiction of Shanghai Municipality.
In May 1984, the government and the society were set up separately, and the people's Government of Zhaoxiang township was established.
At the end of 1999, Qingpu County was replaced by Zhaoxiang Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai.

Zhaoxiang town is located in the lower reaches of Taihu Lake Basin, the upper reaches of Huangpu River and the east of Qingpu District. Zhaoxiang town is a water network area, the territory of rivers, wide water surface, convenient irrigation, good water quality. There are 118 rivers in the town, with a total water surface area of 6776 mu, 227 ponds, with a total water surface area of 851 mu, and a total water surface area of 7627 mu, accounting for 17.1% of the cultivated land. Beigan mountain in the south of Zhaoxiang town belongs to Sheshan National Forest Park. There are more than 700 kinds of plants and 38 kinds of birds, belonging to 7 orders and 16 families. The Yellow billed egret, red bellied eagle and other five species of birds are the second class national protected birds.
