Songcao Town, belonging to Yuanshi County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, is located in the southeast of Yuanshi County, bordering Zhao county in the East, Gaoyi County in the south, Dongzhang Township in the West and Nanyin town in the north, with an administrative area of 36.74 square kilometers.
In the Qing Dynasty, song Cao Town belonged to Jiecun community; in 1996, song Cao Town was merged with koucun township. History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, Cao Town in Song Dynasty belonged to Jiecun community.
During the period of the Republic of China, it was the Second District of Gaoyuan county.
In February 1946, Gaoyuan county was abolished and established as seven districts of Yuanshi County.
On December 3, 1947, Yuanshi city was liberated and divided into six districts.
In 1953, it belonged to the second district and set up songcao township.
In 1958, Yuanshi County and Gaoyi County were merged into Gaoyuan County, belonging to Gaoyuan County; in December of the same year, Zanhuang county was merged into Gaoyuan county and renamed Yuanshi County, belonging to Yuanshi County, belonging to Nanyin commune.
In 1962, the three counties of Yuanshi, Gaoyi and Zanhuang were separated and still belonged to Yuanshi County; in March of the same year, song Cao commune was established.
In February 1984, it was changed to song Cao township.
In 1996, it merged with koucun township to establish songcao town.
