Yilong town
Yilong Town, belonging to Yi'an County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the south of Yi'an County, on the North Bank of Shuangyang river. It is connected with Shuangyang Town in the East, Shuangyang River in the South and Furao Township across the river, Sanxing town in the West and central town in the North. The total administrative area is 563.13 square kilometers.
In 2001, Yilong Township and Qingfeng Township merged into Yilong town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population was 48674. In 2019, Yilong town governs 18 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located at No. 6, Jimao road.
The main crops in Yilong town are wheat, soybean, corn, beet, flax, potato, etc. In 2018, there were 5 industrial enterprises and 25 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Yilong town.
Historical evolution
Yilong town is named after the first word of two original place names, Yi'an and Longquan.
In the early Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Lindian county. In 1915, Yu Wenbo, a gentry, founded the company of land reclamation and animal husbandry, where he set up Longquan TunJi. In the eighth year of the Republic of China (1919), the magistrate of Lindian county took back the TunJi and replaced it with Zhenji. With the increasing number of residents, industry and Commerce rose. In the 12th year of the Republic of China (October 1923), Longquan town was put under the jurisdiction of Yi'an Administrative Bureau. In the 18th year of the Republic of China (January 1929), the administrative bureau was upgraded to a county, and Longquan town became Yi'an county. In 1931, longquanbao was established. In June 1938, it was changed to Longquan street. In October 1941, the puppet County Office moved to Tai'an town and changed Longquan Street into Yi'an village. In 1946, Yian district was changed.
In June 1953, it was changed into Yilong town.
In September 1958, Yilong town was transformed into Yilong commune.
In 1984, Yilong commune was changed into Yilong township.
In 2001, Yilong Township and Qingfeng Township merged into Yilong town.
