Fangtai town
Fangtai Town, belonging to Hulan District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the east of Hulan District. It is connected with Erba town in the East, Songhua River in the south, Shenjia town in the West and Kangjin street in the north. In 2018, the area was 153.43 square kilometers, and the registered residence was 27160.
In 1735, the first year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, Tian, a Shandong immigrant, reclaimed wasteland and built a village here. When it was first built, it was dahuangdianzi, which looked like a rectangular platform. Therefore, it was named dahuangtai because the town government was stationed in Fangtai village. In 1948, fangmitai farmers association was established and stationed in dafangtai. In May 1961, it was changed into Mitai commune. In March 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. In June 1995, the township was transformed into a town.
In October 2019, Fangtai town has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages.
In 2018, Fangtai town had 14 industrial enterprises and 35 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution

In 1909, the first year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty, dahuangtai Autonomous Institute was set up in the second section of Hedong first district.
In 1913, fangmitai township was set up.
In the 22nd year of the Republic of China (July 1933), the Taiwan insurance office of Dafang was set up.
In the 28th year of the Republic of China (June 1939), it was changed to Fangtai village office.
In December 1945, fangmitai district was set up.
In 1948, fangmitai farmers association was established and stationed in dafangtai.
In March 1949, it was renamed eight districts (Fangtai District) and was stationed in East Shenjia.
In March 1956, it was divided into Fangtai and Dongshen townships.
In September 1958, it was assigned to 28 and Dongshen communes and was stationed in dafangtai.
In May 1961, it was changed into Mitai commune.
In March 1984, the commune was transformed into a township.
In June 1995, the township was transformed into a town.
