Songjiang town, a town under the jurisdiction of Hengnan County, Hengyang City, Hunan Province, is located in the south end of Hengnan County, bordering Yunji town in the East, Songbai town of Changning City in the south, Lijiang town in the West and Chejiang town in the north, with an administrative area of 126.48 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Songjiang town was 52953.
In 1958, Songbai people's commune was established. In 1995, Changling township was merged into Songbai Township and renamed Songjiang township. In 2008, Songjiang township was removed and Songjiang town was established. As of June 2020, Songjiang town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 18 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of Songjiang town was 6.9 million yuan, including 970000 yuan of national tax, 1650000 yuan of local tax and 428 million yuan of local other revenue. In 2018, there were 40 industrial enterprises in Songjiang town, including 2 above scale and 5 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
During the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Qingquan county.
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Hengyang County.
In July 1952, it belongs to Hengnan County.
In 1958, Songbai people's commune was established.
In 1995, Changling township was merged into Songbai Township and renamed Songjiang township.
In 2008, Songjiang township was removed and Songjiang town was established.
