Songpu Street
Songpu street, a street under the jurisdiction of Songbei District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the east of Songbei District, starting from Hulan junction in the East, from the North Bank of Songhua River in the west along Songpu avenue to Dongming village boundary in the north, from the southeast of Dongming village to the West of Dongfanghong village in the north to Zhongyuan Avenue in the north, from Zhongyuan avenue to Binzhou railway line in the west, from Songbei District to Hulan junction in the northwest along the boundary, and from Songhua District in the south North Bank of the river, north to Hulan junction. The total administrative area is 70.1 square kilometers (2011).
In 1850, it was named majiachuankou; in 2004, it was assigned to Songbei district and changed to Songpu street in the same year. By the end of 2011, the total population of Songpu street was 39725. As of October 2019, Songpu street has jurisdiction over 6 communities and 6 administrative villages.
By the end of 2011, Songpu street had 21000 mu of agricultural cultivated land, and the main economic crops were seedlings, grapes, sticky corn, etc.
History of construction
In 1850, it was named majiachuankou.
In December 1919, majiachuankou Municipal Bureau was set up, belonging to Hulan County, Heilongjiang Province.
In January 1920, it was renamed Songbei Urban Council. In September 1925, it was renamed Songpu Urban Council.
In July 1933, Songpu Municipal Council was incorporated into Harbin special city.
In July 1938, Songpu district was established.
In March 1956, it was divided into two townships: Songpu and Xinxing, and two streets: sugar factory and Chuankou.
In 1958, Songpu commune was established, belonging to Daowai District.
In March 1963, it was assigned to Binjiang District.
In August 1974, it was classified as Daowai District.
In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township.
In March 1985, the township was transformed into a town.
In 2004, it was assigned to Songbei district and changed to street in the same year.

By 2019, Songpu street has jurisdiction over six communities: sugar factory community, changshengyuan community, north bank Xinghecheng community, fulicheng community, Evergrande Mingdu community and north bank Qicheng community; it has jurisdiction over six administrative villages: Dongfanghong village, Songpu village, Xinhua Village, Songhuajiang village, Hongxing Village and Liming Village.
