Ulantala Township, a township under the jurisdiction of the former guoerlos Mongolian Autonomous County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province, is located in the Midwest of the former guoerlos Mongolian Autonomous County, 71 kilometers away from the county government. It borders haiborigo town in the East and Southeast, Wulantuga town in the south, Chaganhua town in the West and Anzi town in Qian'an County in the northwest. The total administrative area is 314.52 square kilometers.
During the period of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Pro Prince's residence of Guoerluosi banner; in 1983, it was changed to wulantala township. By the end of 2018, the population of Ulan Tara Township had 20241 registered residence. As of June 2020, ulantala township has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages.

History of construction
During the period of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Pro Prince Mansion of Guoerluosi Front Banner; in 1945, it belonged to dalaoye mansion.
In 1956, wulongjiahai township was established after the township was removed.
In January 1958, three villages of Wulantuga Town, Wanbaoshan, Taiping and hashatu, were set up in wulantala township; later, they were divided into 10 villages: wulantala, Taiping, Lianhuashan, Liujia, hashatu, yaohashatu, xieliga, Xinzhuang, Dashimen and wulanzalaga.
In 1981, it was renamed ulantala commune.
In 1983, it was changed to ulantala township.
