Balang town
Balang Town, a town under the jurisdiction of qianguoerluosi Mongolian Autonomous County, Songyuan City, Jilin Province, is located in the northwest of qianguoerluosi Mongolian Autonomous County, 45 kilometers away from the people's Government of qianguoerluosi Mongolian Autonomous County; it is adjacent to Nenjiang River in the East, Changshan town in the south, Chagan Lake in the West and Da'an City in the north. The total administrative area is 260.3 square kilometers.
In March 1946, balang district was established; in October 2005, Mu's hometown was merged into balang town. By the end of 2018, eight towns had 29727 registered residence population. As of June 2020, balang town has one community and 20 administrative villages.

History and culture
It is said that Yang balang once passed by here and tied his mount to a tree when he had a rest. There was a stake to tie a horse, and there were hoof marks around it, so it was named "balang town".

Tahu city tourist area is located in the north of the former Guoerluosi Mongolian Autonomous County, in the east of Chagan Lake, 50 kilometers away from the county seat of the former Guoerluosi Mongolian Autonomous County. It is a national key cultural relics protection unit and the ancient city site of the Liao Dynasty.
"Tahu" means "fat head" in Mongolian. It is named after the nearby Chagan Lake, which is rich in fat head fish. According to historical records, Tahu city was built in the second year of Taiping of Shengzong in Liao Dynasty (1022), formerly known as Changchun.
The ancient city of Tahu faces south in a square shape. The city wall is built of rammed earth, with a circumference of 11 Li. The existing city wall is still more than five meters high. The wall of Tahu city has four gates, and each gate is protected by an urn. There are 64 battlements every 70 meters on the city wall. The four corners of the city also have a turret. There is an ancient architectural site in the northwest of the city. It is said that it was the "Jinluan hall" where the emperors of Liao and Jin Dynasties issued an imperial edict to summon the leaders of various ministries and foreign envoys when they came here for spring hunting. There are two moats around the city wall. As an important military town in the Liao and Jin Dynasties, Tahu city is connected with Huanglong mansion in the south, Songnen rivers in the north, Taizhou City in the west, and an important channel to linhuang mansion in Shangjing, the capital of Liao, in the southwest.
Tahu city was not only an important military town in the north of Liao Dynasty, but also a Buddhist resort and Trade Center at that time.
