Maoduzhan town

Maoduzhan Town, belonging to Ningjiang district, Songyuan City, Jilin Province, is located in the west of Ningjiang district, 20 kilometers away from the people's Government of Ningjiang district. It faces bodu Township across the Songhua River in the East, Xingyuan Township in the south, daliba Township and Changshan town in the northwest, and Pingfeng Township in the north. The total administrative area is 142.3 square kilometers.

In the early Ming Dynasty, there were Mongolian nomads living here, and they settled in Xibo village of Maodu. In 1992, the former guoerlos Mongolian Autonomous County was divided into Fuyu district (now Ningjiang district). By the end of 2018, the town of Mao Du had 23461 registered residence. As of June 2020, maoduzhan town has jurisdiction over 1 community and 11 administrative villages.

History of construction

At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, there were Mongols who lived and nomaded here and settled in Xibo, the capital of Mao.

In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), it belonged to Tahu nutuk (District) of Gorros Front Banner; in the 26th year of the Republic of China (1937), it belonged to the second nutuk (District); in the 34th year of the Republic of China (1945), it belonged to daliba district (District).

In March 1956, it belongs to sanmajia township.

In April 1958, it belonged to daliba township; in October of the same year, it belonged to daliba commune.

In April 1964, benbulai, sanmajia, Jiangjia, erlongsuoku, Liujiazi, maoduzhan, No.7 brigade of daliba commune, yamutou, Fuxing No.2 brigade of hepingfeng commune and northwest brigade of xinlai commune merged into mutuzhan commune.

In 1981, it was renamed maoduzhan commune.

In 1983, it was changed to maoduzhan township.

In December 1984, the township was transformed into a town.

In 1992, the former Guoerluosi Mongolian Autonomous County was divided into Fuyu district (now Ningjiang district).
