Dongchang street, belonging to Dongchang District, Tonghua City, Jilin Province, is located in the southwest of Dongchang District, Tonghua city. It is bounded by Hunjiang River in the East and faces Xinzhan street across the river. It borders Minzhu street in the South and West, and Longquan street in the north, with a total area of about 0.9 square kilometers.
In 1945, Dongchang Street belonged to the first district government; in August 1980, it was changed from the Revolutionary Committee of Dongchang District to Dongchang street. In 2011, the total population of Dongchang street was 28001.

History of construction
In 1945, it belonged to the first district government. In May 1947, it belonged to the second district government.
In 1956, Dongchang street was set up.
In May 1960, Dongchang street was changed into Longquan commune.
In 1963, Longquan commune was changed into Dongchang sub district office.
In 1974, Dongchang sub district office was changed into Dongchang District Revolutionary Committee.
In August 1980, the Revolutionary Committee of Dongchang District was changed into Dongchang street.
In February 1985, it belongs to Dongchang District.
