Shiwu Town, belonging to Gongzhuling City, Changchun City, Jilin Province, is located in the northwest of Gongzhuling City, on the North Bank of dongliaohe River, bordering Bawu town in the East, facing Xiaokuan town of Lishu County across dongliaohe River in the south, sangshutai town in the west, glass Chengzi town and maochengzi town in the north, 87 kilometers away from Changchun City, Jilin Province, with a total area of 164 square kilometers.
During the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, the development of Shiwu town began; on March 26, 1995, it was changed from Shiwu township to Shiwu town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in ten towns was 22346. As of June 2020, Shiwu town has one community and 13 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of Shiwu town is located in Shiwu block.

History of construction
During the Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty, it began to develop.
In the early Republic of China, it belonged to eight districts. In 1948, it belonged to six districts.
