Heyuan Town, belonging to Yitong Manchu Autonomous County, Siping City, Jilin Province, is located in the southeast of Yitong Manchu Autonomous County. It borders Jichang town in Panshi City in the East, Chaoyang mountain town in Panshi City in the south, Shahe Town in Dongfeng County in the west, Yingchengzi town in the northwest and tuding town in Shuangyang District of Changchun City in the north, covering an area of 244.53 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Heyuan town was 21644.
In 1961, banshimiao commune was set up in the upstream commune of Xiying Chengzi. In 1966, it was renamed Red Star commune. In 1983, it was changed into banshimiao township. In 2000, Heyuan town was merged with DIJUZI township. As of June 2020, Heyuan town has 12 administrative villages.
By the end of 2018, Heyuan town had one industrial enterprise and 33 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In the early Qing Dynasty, it was a closed paddock.
In 1913, Yitong Prefecture was changed into Yitong County, belonging to the third Department of Yingchengzi.
In 1935, it belonged to Yingchengzi police district.
In the 36th year of the Republic of China (1947), it belonged to the four districts and the district government stationed in banshimiaotun.
In 1956, it belonged to Yingchengzi.
In 1961, banshimiao commune was set up in the upstream commune of Xiying Chengzi.

In 2003, 12 administrative villages including Banshi village, Dawan village, Dazao village, Yushu village, Jixiang village, Baonan village, Lianhe village, DIJUZI village, Desheng village, Liusha village, Daqiao village and Hongxing Village were under the jurisdiction of Heyuan town.
By the end of 2011, it had 12 villager committees including Banshi, Dawan, Yushu, Dajiang, Jixiang, Baonan, Lianhe, DIJUZI, Desheng, Liusha, Daqiao and Hongxing, and 98 villager groups.
As of June 2020, Heyuan town has 12 administrative villages: Banshi village, Dawan village, Yushu village, Dazao village, Jixiang village, Baonan village, Lianhe village, DIJUZI village, Desheng village, Liusha village, Daqiao village and Hongxing Village. The town people's government is stationed in Banshi village.

The terrain of Heyuan town is high in the South and low in the north. From the south to the north, there are low-lying and flat valleys on both sides of Yitong River. In the middle, there is Daxingchuan Valley in the north-south direction, surrounded by mountains in the north, with overlapping peaks. The main mountains are Qingding mountain, tiaoding mountain and miaoding mountain.

The main rivers in Heyuan town are Yitong River, zhuanxin River, Heishi River, Yushu River, Dawan River, Huangni River and Yidan river. Yitong River passes through Jixiang, Dajiang, Banshi and Dawan village, with a length of 13 kilometers, a drainage area of 1.3 square kilometers and an average annual flow of 0.3 cubic meters per second. The main tributaries are Yushu River and Dawan river.
