Xiwei town
Xiwei Town, belonging to Yitong Manchu Autonomous County, Siping City, Jilin Province, is located in the south of Yitong Manchu Autonomous County. It borders nadanbo town of Dongfeng County in the East, Jinzhou and Zumin township of Dongliao County in the south, Dagushan town in the West and Yitong town in the north, covering an area of 129.27 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 14363 people registered residence.
In 1958, it merged with changpaozi, Jianchang, toudao and Aimin to form Hongqi commune, belonging to Yitong county. In 1961, toudao and Aimin separated and renamed Xiwei commune. In December 1984, the commune was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, Xiwei town has one community and eight administrative villages.
By the end of 2018, there were 7 industrial enterprises in Xiwei town and 22 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

In 1949, xiweizi village was established.
In 1956, the four villages of Yingfang, Yaowei, Xiwei and Hongguang were merged into Xiwei Township, belonging to Dongfeng County.
In 1958, it merged with changpaozi, Jianchang, toudao and Aimin to form Hongqi commune, belonging to Yitong county.
In 1961, toudao and Aimin separated and renamed Xiwei commune.
In December 1984, the commune was transformed into a town.
