Pingxi Township

Pingxi Township, belonging to Tiexi District of Siping City, Jilin Province, is located in the north of Tiexi District and the suburb of Siping City. It borders Xiaotazi village in Chengdong township of Tiedong District in the East, old Siping of Liaoning Province in the South and West, Lishu Town, Dafangshen Township and shijiabao town of Lishu County in the north. The area is 149.87 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 53476 people registered residence in Ping Xixiang.

In November 1961, it belongs to tiaozihe production management area. In August 1968, it belonged to tiaozihe commune. In December 1983, it was divided into tiaozihe and Pingxi townships. In August 2000, tiaozihe township was merged into Pingxi township. As of June 2020, Pingxi township has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages.

By the end of 2018, there were 43 industrial enterprises in Pingxi Township, including 43 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size and 92 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In November 1961, it belongs to tiaozihe production management area.

In August 1968, it belonged to tiaozihe commune.

In December 1983, it was divided into tiaozihe and Pingxi townships.

In August 2000, tiaozihe township was merged into Pingxi township.

In 2005, jiujianfang village and TUANSHANZI village in shijiabao town of Lishu County, Renjia village, xibada village, dongbada village and guyushu village in Lishu Town, and Haiqing village and tiaozihe village in Dafangshen Township were included.

In 2008, sandaolin and Taipinggou villages were assigned to Siping Hongzui Industrial Park.

In January 2011, badger cave village in Lishu County was included.
