Manchu Township in Mingde

Mingde Manchu Township, named after ningmingde martyr, was formally established in 1991. It is located in the west of Xifeng County, Liaoning Province. It connects Lianhua township of Kaiyuan County in the west, Yehe Manchu town in the north, and Gaojiadian town across the river in the south. It is the intersection of Liaoning Province, Jilin Province, Kaiyuan County, Xifeng County and Changtu County The mountain township in the north of China is an extension of the Changbai Mountains and has a continental monsoon climate in the north temperate zone.

Mingde Manchu Township covers an area of 110.17 square kilometers, with 25000 mu of arable land and 9960 permanent residents (in 2017). It governs 10 village committees: Mingde, Juying, Hengjie, Juxian, Dongping, Zuoxin, Jimin, Shangwen, Suihe, Tianjia, and 35 natural villages. The leading industries are corn, soybean, silkworm, tobacco leaf, cold shed melon, hazelnut, forest and sika deer, which are famous for rich mountain vegetables and wild fruits. In addition to these, the township is also rich in mineral resources, such as: limestone, granite and so on.
