Huangshatuo Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Taian County, Anshan City, Liaoning Province, is located in the southeast of Taian County, between Liaohe River and Hunhe River, adjacent to gaolifang town in the south, Liaohe River in the west, and Duanjia, Shuiquanzi and liujianfang villages in Shaling Town, Panshan County across the river, Liaohe River in the north, Xinkaihe town on the opposite bank, Yujiafang town in Liaozhong County, Shenyang City, tangmazhai town in Liaoyang County, Liaoyang City in the northeast, East and Southeast Gaotuo town is adjacent to Haicheng City, with an administrative area of 115.3 square kilometers.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), Tai'an County was established, and the dahuangshatuo in Liaozhong County was assigned to Tai'an, and Huangshatuo was the third district. In July 1984, Huangshatuo township was transformed into a town. In February 2002, Dazhang Township, which is adjacent to the north, was merged into Huangshatuo town. In February 2004, the former Dazhang administrative district was abolished and called Huangshatuo town. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in Huang Sha Tuo was 38074. As of June 2020, Huangshatuo town has 17 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total financial revenue of Huangshatuo town was 40.1 million yuan, an increase of 20% over the previous year. The local fiscal revenue was 26.21 million yuan, an increase of 18.5% over the previous year. In 2018, there were 27 industrial enterprises in Huangshatuo Town, including 3 above scale enterprises and 40 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1913, Tai'an County was established. The dahuangshatuo in Liaozhong County was assigned to Tai'an, and Huangshatuo was the third district.
In 1928, after the Northeast changed its banner, Fengtian province was renamed Liaoning Province. Taian belonged to it, and Huangshatuo was the eighth district.
In 1931, Liaoning Province was renamed Fengtian province.
In 1934, the puppet province of Jinzhou was established. Taian County belonged to it, and Huangshatuo was still the eighth district.
In October 1945, the democratic government of Taian County was established under the leadership of the western Liaoning special region. In December of the same year, it was classified as the first special office of Liaoning Province and Huangshatuo as the seventh district.
In February 1946, the Kuomintang government troops occupied Taian, and the county democratic government transferred its strategy. After the Kuomintang established Taian County Government, it belonged to Liaoning Province, and Huangshatuo was still the seventh district.
In January 1948, Tai'an was liberated; in February of the same year, Tai'an County government was established; in April of the same year, Tai'an was occupied by the Kuomintang army and the landlord's anti return corps, and the Tai'an County government was established under the leadership of Lao Zhongzheng; in December of the same year, Huangshatuo area was completely liberated, and Huangshatuo was designated as the eighth district.
In April 1949, Taian County was put under the jurisdiction of Liaoxi Province, and Huangshatuo was the eighth district.
In August 1954, Liaodong and Liaoxi provinces merged into Liaoning Province. Taian County belongs to Liaoning Province, and Huangshatuo is still the eighth district.
In December 1955, Tai'an belonged to Liaoyang district. Huangshatuo district was first divided into eight districts, and then renamed Huangshatuo district.
In January 1959, the Liaoyang Special Office was abolished, and the county system under the jurisdiction of the city was implemented. Taian County was changed to Shenyang, and Huangshatuo was transformed into Liaonan commune.
In March 1964, Taian County was changed to Shenyang special district leader and Huangshatuo commune was established.
In January 1965, Tai'an County was assigned to Tieling District, and Huangshatuo was a commune.
In July 1968, Taian County was put under Panjin reclamation area, and Huangshatuo was a commune.
On January 1, 1976, Taian County was transferred to Anshan City, and Huangshatuo was still a commune.
In November 1983, the commune was abolished and Huangshatuo township was established.
In July 1984, Huangshatuo township was transformed into a town.
In February 2002, Dazhang Township adjacent to the North was merged into Huangshatuo town.
In February 2004, the former Dazhang management area was abolished and unified as Huangshatuo town.

By the end of 2011, Huangshatuo town had 21 administrative villages: Huangshatuo, sunlangdong, sanjiepao, Songjia, Xujia, Wujianfang, huhuwozi, Renjia, Xinfa, Houjia, Wula, Jinqiao, Liujia, Dazhang, gaolifang, catfish bubble, gaojiayao, Xiabo, Panjia, Lijia and Xiaolongwan, with 193 villager groups.
As of June 2020, Huangshatuo town has 17 administrative villages: Xiabo village, Wujian village, Songjia village, sanjiepao village, sunlangdong village, Renjia village, Xujia village, laohuwozi village, Panjia village, Wula village, Houjia village, Xinfa village, Lijia village, Jinqiao village, Xiaolongwan village, Huangshatuo village and Gaojiabao village. The people's Government of Huangshatuo town is located at No. 40, Heping Street, Huangshatuo village.

Huangshatuo town is located in the southeast of Taian County, between Liaohe River and Hunhe River. It is adjacent to gaolifang town in the south, wailiaohe River in the west, Duanjia village, Shuiquanzi village and liujianfang village in Shaling town of Panshan County across the river. It is adjacent to Liaohe River in the north, Xinkaihe town on the other side, Yujiafang town in Liaozhong County of Shenyang City, tangmazhai town in Liaoyang County of Liaoyang City and Gaotuo town in Haicheng City in the northeast, East and Southeast, respectively It covers 115.3 square kilometers.

Huangshatuo town is located in the hinterland of Liaodong Peninsula, bordering Hunhe River in the East and Liaohe River in the north. It is the alluvial plain of Liaohe River and Hunhe River. There is no mountain in the town, and the terrain is flat. It is high in the north and low in the south. The natural gradient is one in ten thousand, with an average altitude of 6.5 meters.

The rivers in Huangshatuo town are Liaohe River and Hunhe River. The largest river in the town is Liaohe River. From north to south, it flows through five natural villages: gaolifang, blacksmith stove, Dazhang, Liujia and Sunjia. Among them, Liaohe River flows through the town with a length of 8.5 kilometers and a drainage area of 116.2 square kilometers, accounting for 70%. Hunhe River flows through the town with a length of 9 kilometers and a drainage area of 49.8 square kilometers, accounting for 30%. The main tributaries are wailiao River and liaotai drainage trunk, with a total length of 12.6 km. The total length of the river is 32.2km, the density of the river network is 0.2km/km2, the annual drainage volume is 300000 cubic meters, and the maximum annual drainage volume is 3.478 million cubic meters (2010). The average runoff is 1233000 cubic meters.

The main natural disasters in Huangshatuo town are drought, typhoon, hail, frost, flood and so on. The probability of occurrence of drought and flood is 50%, generally once every three years. Severe drought occurs once every 15 years, and severe flood occurs once every 10 years. From 1888 to 2012, there were 16 floods and 10 droughts. The annual probability of heavy rain is 32.6%, and the heavy rain is mostly caused by typhoon. Rainstorm occurred twice a year on average, up to 6 times in 1960; typhoon occurred twice in 1984 and 1988; hail occurred twice in 1966 and 1983. Flood disasters occur twice a year on average, mostly from mid July to late August. The most serious flood disaster occurred from July to August 2010. The main pests are sorghum shoot insects, armyworm, soybean borer, corn borer and underground pests.
